Sgt. Sam Troy:
Let's shake it!

Pvt. Mark Hitchcock:
Who was there, Sarge? You or me?

Capt. Hauptman Hans Dietrich:
A German convoy armed against two Jeeps and four Americans and you consider yourself fortunate the five of you get away. Don't you think that's ridiculous?

Sgt. Jack Moffitt:
Stop calling me Sarge.

Colonel Quint:
They've sent a replacement for you.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
An Englishman?

Colonel Quint:
Anything wrong with that?

Sgt. Sam Troy:
Yes, sir. I don't know him. Colonel, we've got to be sure of each other, how the other man's going to react every minute.

Colonel Quint:
The man you're getting was in this desert while you were still sweating out the draft. Meet Sergeant Moffitt.

Sgt. Jack Moffitt:
[Describing the ever-changing sand dunes that buried the supply dump] You see, the desert is like a lady - puts on a new face every day.

Phillips:
[In response to Moffitt's surprise at finding the American doctor treating a Nazi] Oh, we treat all kinds in here. Hippocrates has no enemies.

Gribs:
[the Jeep overheats] Oh, this is great, just great! Here we are smack in the middle of Gerryland, and now you bums can't even keep your own Jeeps going!

Pvt. Tully Pettigrew:
I can fix his mouth a lot sooner than I can fix this Jeep.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
[Plotting the raid on the oasis] Don't start your attack till I do.

Gribs:
Not me, Sarge. I'm valuable information. I'm gonna dig a nice hole for myself and get in it. You guys can play the hero.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
[Exasperated] Sgt. Gribs, I'm giving you a direct order. You're coming with me. If you don't, I'm gonna shoot you.

Ned Cunningham:
[to Troy and Moffitt] To coin a phrase, this desert simply isn't big enough for the both of us.

Nurse Parker:
[to the Germans] You're in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
Yeah, tell 'em about it!

Col. Windsor:
Has it ever occurred to you you might be on the wrong side?

Sgt. Jack Moffitt:
No.

Col. Windsor:
In spite of my broadcasts?

Sgt. Jack Moffitt:
Because of them.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
[Using Hitchcock's recurring line to him] Hitch, who was there? You or me?

Narrator:
[Opening narration] Returning from a raid and still far behind enemy lines, the Rat Patrol was unaware they were about to cross paths with Hauptmann Dietrich and an Arab leader in the pay of the German army who were on a special mission seeking to enlist the fanatical desert chieftan Faisal in the German cause.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
We've got them out there, and us in here. Truce, Captain?

Capt. Hans Deitrich:
Any other choice, Sergeant?

Sgt. Sam Troy:
Not at the moment.

Capt. Hans Deitrich:
Fair enough. As you said, not at the moment.

Sgt. Sam Troy:
General, as long as you're my prisoner, I make the rules.

Gen. Von Helmreich:
If you are captured, Sergeant Troy, I will make the rules.
