The Relief of Belsen

For the greatest part of the Jews liberated at Bergen-Belsen, there was no ecstasy, nor joy at liberation. We had lost are families, our homes, we had no place to go, nobody to hug. Nobody was waiting for us anywhere. We had been liberated from death, and the fear of death, but not from the fear of life.

Leslie Hardman:
These are the last Jews in Europe and we are letting them die!

James Johnston:

Mervyn Gonin:
This is Gonin. Go ahead. Over.

James Johnston:
