Calhoun:
Someone said this gold was already dug.

Lane:

[First scene -- Lane has summoned his gun-toting friends to a rendezvous]

Grady:
Alright, what's it all about, Jess?

Jesse:
Beats me. All Lane said was meet him here at the train stop. It'd be worth it.

Calhoun:
To him or us?

Grady:
Oh, what difference does it make? It's something to do, isn't it?

Grady:
Where you goin'?

Lane:
Where the hell do you suppose? To rob a train!

Jesse:
Rob a train?

Grady:
It's something to do!

The Pinkerton Man:
Her name is Lilly, with two "L's." Matt Lowe was never married. Better luck next time!

Jesse:
Lilly.

Grady:
With two "L's."

Jesse:
One of 'um must stand for "liar."

Calhoun:
What about the woman?

Lane:
What about her?

Calhoun:
She part of it?

Lane:
She's all of it.

Calhoun:
What's that supposed to mean?

Lane:
None of your damn business.

Sam Turner:
All we want to know is what we rode here for.

Lane:
What a gun rides anywhere for - money. The more of it the more chances you take.

Calhoun:
We got a right to know what we're getting into.

Lane:
A grave more than likely if you come along with us.

Calhoun:
Then why should we?

Lane:
Beats the hell outta me!

Lane:
If anyone tries to cross that river before we're out of sight - baptize 'em.

Mrs. Lowe:
All you do is drift.

Lane:
It's what I'm good at.

Lane:
[to Ben] You're a man, you're stuck with it. You'll find yourself standing your ground and fightin' when you oughtta run, speakin' out when you oughtta keep your mouth shut, doin' things that seem wrong to a lot of people but you'll do them all the same. You're gonna spend the rest of your life getting' up one more time when you're knocked down, so you better start gettin' used to it.

Grady:
Don't ever get old; you'll live to regret it.

Lane:
Gold has a way of bringing out the larceny in all of us, Mrs. Lowe.

Lane:
