Transformers Prime

Alpha Trion:
As you may have long suspected, the Convenant of Primus records events of the future as well as the past. My imperfect understanding of its runes affords me a shadowy glimpse of what is to come. The Convenant's pages foretold that you, Optimus Prime, would journey to the small but significant planet and, there, engage in a crucial chapter in the war against the Decepticons. I know neither the nature of the battle nor its outcome. I only hope that these relics of the ancients will aid the Autobots in your time of need.

[last lines]

Starscream Clone:
[shot in the chest, weakly] You... knew I would attempt to terminate you.

Starscream:
[clutching his own chest] Aah, I feel your pain. Really, I do.

[POV of clone, Starscream fires a second, close-range missile. Screen goes dead-black]

Starscream:
Aaaaaah! *Scrap*, that hurt!

Starscream:
[to Bulkhead] Why is it that every time I return to my old stomping ground, I find an Autobot roaming the halls?

Starscream:
[to clones] Esteemed members of my armada, you now stand on the very precipice of glory, to meet the destiny *I* have worked so tenaciously toward:

Starscream:
Eh, uh, I am... delighted to hear we are on the same page. Heh.

[rolls in honking, transforms] Guys, you're not gonna believe the day I had.

[Bulkhead spots Airachnid in stasis]

[to Starscream's POV] This for Cliffjumper!

Bulkhead:
[wrecker-ball blow to head] For Bumblebee!

Bulkhead:
[another blow] For everything. Aah!

[death blow]

[standing over Starscream's corpse, Bulkhead looks at his wrecking-ball fist]

Bulkhead:
You left me no choice.

[experiencing his first clone's death at the hands of Bulkhead]

Starscream:
Aah! Ow! Ow! My genetic code provides my clones with a T-Cog I no longer possess and all I get is their *agony*?

Megatron:
[deducing from swarm of Insecticons attacking] Airachnid. A busy day for assassins.

Miko Nakadai:
[beating down Vehicons] Who's wrecking who now?

Bulkhead:
Miko?

Ultra Magnus:
Perhaps you weren't wrong to bring the human along...

Bulkhead:
Come on, we're all on the same team. Hey, Beast Hunters, right?

Miko Nakadai:
I'll tear you apart! [Predaking breathes fire]

[Predaking returns to the Decepticon ship]

Starscream:
How did it find us?

Shockwave:
Predacons possess precise homing instincts.

Megatron:
And astounding resilience... Starscream! Assume command of my beast!

Starscream:
[nervous] ME, Master?... I-I mean, I wouldn't dream of stealing such an honor from its very creator...

Starscream:
[draws his claws] You DO know I vanquished Cliffjumper, don't you?

Miko Nakadai:
Big woof! I snuffed Hardshell!

Starscream:
You miserable beast, I am your commanding officer! And I order you to crawl into your kennel, now! [Predaking snorts and looks away]

Starscream:
I said go already! [hits Predaking with a prod, Predaking burns him]

Miko Nakadai:
[in the Apex Armor] What's the matter, Screamy? Can't pick on someone your own size?

Starscream:
[looks above Miko] What do you know? It DOES fetch... [Predaking returns with a Predacon optic]

Miko Nakadai:
Scrap!

Megatron:
[intercom] Starscream, status report!

Starscream:
Master, we have secured the bone, and our Predacon is dealing with the Autobots and human as we speak. On MY command, of course...

Megatron:
I will not risk losing a precious commodity to your arrogance! Have the beast return with my prize immediately! You can stay behind, and finish the Autobots!

Starscream:
Yes, master... [signs off]

Starscream:
Assuming I can coerce the brainless brute into... [Predaking tackles him, then flies off with the Predacon component]

Starscream:
[to a prone Miko] Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Even the strongest armor can't protect the weakest of creatures...

Miko Nakadai:
[grabs him] It protected YOU, didn't it?

[Starscream appears before Predaking in the Apex Armor]

Starscream:
Okay... now in you go! [Predaking roars]

Starscream:
Do your worst! The Apex Armor is virtually... [Predaking grabs him in its jaws and worries at him]

Starscream:
NO! RELEASE ME! [Starscream gets hurled into a wall]

Megatron:
[intercom] Starscream! Are you with the beast?

Starscream:
Yes, master! We've been reviewing attack maneuvers! He's doing quite well...

Megatron:
One of the excavation teams has failed to report in.

Starscream:
I shall assemble my Seeker armada immediately, and...

Megatron:
I would prefer that you lead our newly returned asset on this mission, so that we may see how the Predacon is adept at hunting bones, as it is at hunting Autobots.

Arcee:
Primes don't party.

Ratchet:
Blasted Scraplets!

Arcee:
So, who's the boyfriend?

Starscream:
Do you not see that you are vastly outnumbered?

Wheeljack:
I see fellas who might vastly enjoy watching me pound some dents into you.

Bulkhead:
I'm still picking shrapnel out of my backside!

Arcee:
I'm not surprised, given the size of your backside.

Wheeljack:
[to Miko] If anything happens to my favourite Wrecker, I'm coming after you!

Wheeljack:
If you're trying to ruin my day, you're going to have to try harder!

Wheeljack:
You keeping Bulkhead out of trouble?

Miko Nakadai:
I try, but trouble finds us anyway.

Wheeljack:

Bulkhead:

Ah-ah, no need, Agent Fowler. I will handle the driving.

Optimus Prime:
It's going to be a long trip.

Ratchet:
You want me to not only bridge you into a confined space, but one traveling at 90 miles per hour? I can't even count the number of things that can go wrong-mass displacement trauma, twisted limbs, metal burn!... Well, maybe not the last one.

Agent Fowler:
How about some radio? You seem like a Nashville sound kinda guy.

Agent Fowler:
That's the one! The 'Con who shot me down! Who is he? Wingnut? Dingbat? Skyguy?

Cliffjumper:
I'm getting a signal.

Arcee:
Need backup?

Cliffjumper:
Do I ever need backup?

Cliffjumper:
'Scream. Been a while.

[coughs up "oil"]

Cliffjumper:
So. Where's your master?

Starscream:
Never mind him! I am my own master.

[Starscream thrusts his blade-like fingers into Cliffjumper's chest, causing him great pain]

Starscream:
Any more questions?

["Oil" starts leaking out of Cliffjumper's wound, and he lifelessly falls to the floor]

Starscream:
[to the drones] Clean that up.

Ratchet:
Optimus, helping humans will only result in more tragedy.

Optimus Prime:
Your opinion is noted.

[Bulkhead arrives, driving off two Decepticon drones]

Arcee:
What took you?

Bulkhead:
Traffic.

Arcee:
Relax. I just want to talk to you.

Jack Darby:
Don't you mean you and your new friend?

Arcee:
Kid, there's a lot you don't understand. [Arcee's holographic driver disappears]

Jack Darby:
Look, I get it, I get it. The first rule of Robot Fight Club is that you don't talk about Robot Fight Club.

Megatron:
Decepticons! I have returned.

Rafael 'Raf' Esquivel:
So if you guys are robots, who made you?

Ratchet:
Pfff! Puh-lease!

Optimus Prime:
We are Autonomous Robotic Organisms from the planet Cybertron. Also known as Autobots.

Jack Darby:
Why are you here?

Optimus Prime:
To protect your planet from the Decepticons.

[Bumblebee and Arcee bring in the three kids]

Ratchet:
I thought there were two.

Arcee:
Haven't you heard? Humans multiply.

Miko Nakadai:
I'm Miko. Who are you?

Bulkhead:
Bulkhead.

Miko Nakadai:
Are you a car? I bet you're a truck - a monster truck! Do you like heavy metal? How much do you weigh? Ever use a wrecking ball for a punching bag?

[Bulkhead looks confused]

Cliffjumper:
So there I am on a lookout, when out of nowhere these high beams lit up my rear view. And then it hits me... I'm illegally parked.

Arcee:
Another parking ticket?

Cliffjumper:
Better... The boot!

Arcee:
Big metal tire clamp, impossible to remove.

Cliffjumper:
Bingo! So the local Po-lice do their thing, and I let them get all the way down the block. That's when I kick off my new shiny shoe, and BANG!

Arcee:
New York's finest soil themselves.

Cliffjumper:
You know me, Arcee. you mess with Cliffjumper...

Arcee:
And you get the horns.

[after the Eradicon drones knock Cliffjumper down, knocking one of his horns off]

Cliffjumper:
You want the horns?

[whips out his cannons]

Cliffjumper:
You've got 'em!

Arcee:
Scrap.

Optimus Prime:
It is best that you three remain under our watch. At least until we can determine our enemies' intentions.

Ratchet:
Optimus, with all due respect, the human children are in as much danger here as anywhere.

Jack Darby:
Children?

Ratchet:
They have no protective shell! If they get underfoot, they will go... squish.

Optimus Prime:
Then, for the time being, Ratchet, we must watch where we step.

Bulkhead:
Team Prime knows when to use force, and how much to use!

[Bulkhead breaks off and crushes Ratchet's medical equipment]

Ratchet:
Bulkhead, I NEEDED THAT!

Optimus Prime:
Military involvement will only result in catastrophe. Perhaps you can condone widespread human casualties, Agent Fowler. I, however, cannot.

Agent Fowler:
Then do us both a favor and handle this, Prime... under the radar. Or I will.

[Agent Fowler leaves]

Bulkhead:
Pretty big bearings... for a human.

Optimus Prime:
Maximum overdrive!

[the Autobots turn into vehicles and proceed to demolish the Decepticon drones and their mining machines]

[Arcee almost faints. Bumblebee reacts with concern]

Arcee:
I'm fine, just... dizzy.

Miko Nakadai:
Robots who get dizzy?

Rafael 'Raf' Esquivel:
Robots with emotions.

Jack Darby:
Robots... who can die.

Starscream:
Of the Energon deposits we have located while you were away, Lord Megatron, this one is by far the most significant. The drones have been mining without pause during your absence, and have amassed quite a stockpile. You there! Fetch me a sample!

Megatron:
Starscream! Now that I have returned, I will issue the commands.

Starscream:
I... understand, Lord Megatron. Then, as your humble servant, shall I ready the space bridge to bring forth the Decepticon army you have surely gathered during your three years in space?

Megatron:
My army will come, but my time away has yielded a more... intriguing means of materializing them.

[Megatron pulls out a glowing purple crystal]

Megatron:
The solidified form of the matter the ancient texts refer to as "The blood of Unicron".

Starscream:
Unicron the Destroyer? But it is said his blood is the anti-Spark.

Megatron:
Plucked from cosmic shores, gaze upon... Dark Energon!

Starscream:
Legend tells that it holds the power to... revive the dead.

Megatron:
We require only a cadaver to be certain. [Looks over at Starscream] Are you willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Starscream:
[reluctantly] Heh, heh heh... That... may not be necessary. if I may, Lord Megatron.

[Starscream points over to Cliffjumper's lifeless body]

Starscream:
Consider it a welcome home present.

Arcee:
Cons!

Jack Darby:
No! Mom!

Optimus Prime:
Autobots, transform and gravitize!

[the Autobots lock their feet onto the Space Bridge]

[Bulkhead loses balance upon magnetizing himself to the Space Bridge]

Bulkhead:
[to himself] Don't look down... Or up... Or left.

Megatron:
Optimus Prime. Never disappoints... Unlike YOU, Starscream!

Optimus Prime:
Ratchet! Have Agent Fowler alert the array staff to the security hazard.

Agent Fowler:
You! Soldier! You're out of uniform. Put on some pants! [faints]

Ratchet:
That may be a challenge.

Ratchet:
Optimus, I must say, the Space Bridge is our sole hope of ever returning to Cybertron. Are you certain its destruction is the only option?

Optimus Prime:
I am afraid so.

Ratchet:
Then by all means, let us light our darkest hour!

Starscream:
Surely, Lord Megatron, the Autobots are up to something.

Megatron:
Reeeally, Starscream?

[Starscream shows a frightened grin. Megatron deploys his army of drones]

Megatron:
Crush them!

Megatron:
Your fellow Autobots are wise, Optimus. They know when to retreat.

Optimus Prime:
I hold no illusions about engaging your army, Megatron. But I might derail its objective... by removing its head.

Megatron:
[laughs] Highly unlikely, Optimus. As I am infused with their very might!

Optimus Prime:
One shall stand, one shall fall.

Megatron:
Ah, misdirection, Optimus. You would have made a fine Decepticon.

Optimus Prime:
I chose my side.

Starscream:
Decepticons! It is with deep sorrow that I note for the log... Megatron's Spark has been extinguished. All... hail... Starscream.

[Bumblebee brings in a weak and wounded Arcee]

Jack Darby:
Arcee.

Arcee:
Jack... really? There are other motorcycles in the world.

Jack Darby:
But you're my first.

Ratchet:
Optimus, if you leave me stranded on a planet teeming with humans, I will never forgive you.

[last lines]

Optimus Prime:
Without a means of leaving this world, we Autobots take strength in the bonds we have forged with our three young friends. True warriors, if not in body, then in spirit. My name is Optimus Prime and I send this message. Though we did not choose to be of Earth, it would seem that we are here to stay. If you approach this planet with hostile intent, know this: We will defend ourselves. We will defend humanity. We will defend our home.

Jack Darby:
You handed it an axe?

Rafael 'Raf' Esquivel:
Not good.

Breakdown:
Fight?

Knock Out:
Mmm, drive.

Jack Darby:
We're already trespassers and thieves. Why not add forgery to the list?

Starscream:
It's about time, Knock Out. I do not enjoy being kept waiting!

Knock Out:
Ah, it was a long drive, Starscream. I'm still picking bugs out of my grille.

Starscream:

Knock Out:

Never understood why any self-respecting Decepticon would choose 'automobile' as his vehicle mode when he could have flight!

Miko Nakadai:
I love breaking stuff! I wanna be just like you, Bulk.

Agent Fowler:
You've reached Special Agent William Fowler. I'm currently on an intensive training retreat and unavailable until Tuesday

Unruly beast, you dare to roam freely without permission? [hits Predaking with a rod, Predaking roars at him and transforms to robot mode]

Starscream:
What?

Predaking:
Strike me again, and I will bury that rod in your spark!

Megatron:
The moment our 'Royal Highness' realizes that his army possesses greater might than what currently remains of the Decepticons...

Starscream:
Evolution will give way to REvolution.

Optimus Prime:
Perhaps the best way for you to learn about the human world is from a human.

Arcee:
Smokescreen gets his own partner?

Ratchet:
Oh, please! Isn't having three humans here enough?

[the other Autobots stare at Ratchet]

Ratchet:
[scoffs] Uggh!

Jack Darby:
OK, intersection. Let's review. Light's green?

Smokescreen:
Green for go.

Jack Darby:
[light changes yellow] And yellow?

Smokescreen:
Go *faster*!

Smokescreen:
Energon signal's gettin' stronger.About five klicks due north.

[Bumblebee buzzes a message in a concerning tone]

Smokescreen:
What do you mean, "speed limit"? I have a gauge in here that goes to 150! If the humans who designed my vehicle form didn't want it to go that fast, they shouldn't've given me the option!

Arcee:
Optimus, with all due respect, Agent Fowler is out relocating Raf's family because the 'Cons discovered where he lives. Meanwhile, Smokescreen, in all his wisdom, chooses a vehicle mode with screaming double 38s on the doors, making him an easy target. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more than concerned about Jack's safety.

Optimus Prime:
Nonetheless, the fact remains that our new recruit is in need of instruction. I believe that Smokescreen's spark is in the right place, and that he now understands the necessity of protecting humanity.

Jack Darby:
I just pulled a Miko.

Dreadwing:
Lord Megatron, I live to serve.

Megatron:
Rise, Dreadwing. Loyalty such as yours is a rare commodity.

Dreadwing:
Mine runs deep and true, and yet, it is not loyalty alone that has brought me here.

Megatron:
Oh?

Dreadwing:
I seek confirmation of the demise of one whom I considered brother.

Megatron:
How did you learn of his passing?

Dreadwing:
My twin and I shared a split spark. A metal but two halves of the same life force. Even across the galaxy I sensed when he emerged from stasis on this planet, and when his spark was no more.

[Soundwave displays video footage of Skyquake's death]

Megatron:
It is true, Skyquake perished at the hands of the Autobots. Though, not in fact under my watch.

Dreadwing:
Then by the Pit, every last Autobot on this accursed world will pay!

Optimus Prime:
Wheeljack, this planet is heavily inhabited. Any strike we make against the Decepticons must be carefully measured... as a team. Least we risk endangering the human population.

Wheeljack:
Are you suggesting we just sit back and do nothing?

Agent William Fowler:
You! Loose cannon! Your cowboy antics almost blew our cover!

Wheeljack:
Cover?

Bulkhead:
We're robot's in disguise, Jacky. You need an Earth-based vehicle mode outside of here.

Agent William Fowler:
That spaceship you shot down, NOT EARTH-BASED! Had to jump through some big hoops to get it hauled out of plain sight! You need to keep a tighter leash on your people, Prime!

Wheeljack:
"A tighter leash"? Let me clarify, tiny...

Bulkhead:
Jacky!

Wheeljack:
...I'm *not* one of Optimus Prime's people.

Agent William Fowler:
[about Wheeljack] So, the new guy has a little problem with authority.

Optimus Prime:
Wheeljack and Bulkhead served together in the Wreckers, a combat unit that operated outside the normal chain of command.

Agent William Fowler:
Hmm, Black Ops.

Optimus Prime:
They accepted missions no one else would. And many of them did not come back.

Wheeljack:
You know Wreckers don't call for backup...

Wheeljack, Bulkhead:
They call for clean-up!

Agent William Fowler:
[his jet gets scanned] Not this again!

Megatron:
I will be quite surprised if we ever set eyes upon Dreadwing again...

Bulkhead:
[knocks out Wheeljack] Sorry, Jackie. It's because I love you.

[Bulkhead, a bomb strapped to his chest, runs towards the ocean]

Bulkhead:
Sorry, fishies!

Wheeljack:
Ow! take it easy, Doc, I need that arm!

Ratchet:
Hold still, and maybe you'll keep it.

Dreadwing:
I will gladly sacrifice myself to avenge my brother!

Optimus Prime:
Then we will, in turn, gladly join the Allspark with our brother.

Bulkhead:
Oh yeah, Jack is back!

Agent William Fowler:
I dont care if Abraham Lincoln's back! We have to contain the situation before we all wind up on the eleven o'clock news!

Bulkhead:
Jackie, look, even if it weren't for the humans we couldn't take on the Cons right now! We're outnumbered!

Wheeljack:
Roadbuster, Pyro, Impactor, Rotorstorm, Seaspray... all dust.

Bulkhead:
That's what I'm talking about! Wreckers or Autobots, there just aren't that many of us left. But if we get behind Optimus, we have a chance to end this once and for all.

Wheeljack:
Guys like Optimus, they talk a good game, but when you're in the scrap they don't wanna get their hands dirty.

Optimus Prime:
If you will not take orders from me, that is one thing. But when you place one of my Autobots in danger...

[Smokescreen and Jack are watching cars pass on the highway from atop a nearby mesa, looking for a vehicle mode for Smokescreen]

Smokescreen:
Nope.

Jack Darby:
How about... that one?

Smokescreen:
Nah, that's more Ratchet's speed, don'tcha think?

Jack Darby:
Cement truck?

Smokescreen:
Yeah, if I were a Constructicon! Seriously? This is the best your planet has to offer?

Jack Darby:
No, but this is Jasper.

Smokescreen:
I feel for ya.

[Smokescreen arrives via ground bridge in vehicle mode:
a ground-hugging race car with '38" on checkered flags painted on the doors]

Arcee:
Apparently nobody defined "low profile" for him.

Optimus Prime:
[Opening lines] And it was written in the Covenant of Primus, that when the 47 spheres align, a perpetual conflict with culminate upon a world forged by chaos. And the weak shall perish in the shadow of a rising darkness.

Arcee:
No sky is raining fire?

Ratchet:
Goes without saying, it is a doom prophesy after all.

Bulkhead:
I say it's a load of hooey.

Ratchet:
I always assumed the ancients were referring to our home planet. But being that Cybertron has been dark for eons...

Optimus Prime:
And considering what has befallen this planet since Megatron's arrival here...

Bulkhead:
Wow, wow, wow... we've known about these superstitions for ages and never gave them a second thought.

Arcee:
Why all the ominous rumbling now?

Optimus Prime:
Because the planetary alignment to which the prophesy refers is nearly upon us.

Ratchet:
And it would seem it's end point... is Earth.

Bulkhead:
Uhh... crazy coincidence! Heh... R-right?

Arcee:
How long are we talking?

Ratchet:
A few days, at most.

Optimus Prime:
However unsettling this revelation may be, I am more concerned about those who might believe that the prophesy speaks to them alone.

Megatron:
I did not seek out the blood of Unicron to simply keep my spark aflame, but to rule undead armies and conquer worlds! And to accomplish that, I require more than this mere sliver that lies within me. Soo... WHERE IS MY DARK ENERGON?

Knock Out:
Out there, Lord Megatron. just waiting for you to reach out and pluck it.

[Megatron glares]

Knock Out:
But you shouldn't push yourself soo hard. You've had setbacks. You were in stasis.

[Megatron grabs Knock Out by the chest]

Megatron:
Exactly why I must make up for lost time! I can see the future vividly, but I must ensure it's outcome. For I am the rising darkness of which the prophesy speaks!

Jack Darby:
Um, Optimus? You wanna see something funny?

Optimus Prime:
No.

Arcee:
Don't take it personally. Primes are built that way.

Bulkhead:
Never seen Optimus laugh, cry, or lose his cool.

Ratchet:
While Optimus certainly keeps his emotions in check, I've known him for far longer than any of you have. And he *was* different before he was made a Prime.

Rafael 'Raf' Esquivel:
Optimus wasn't always a Prime?

Ratchet:
On Cybertron, one isn't born into greatness, but rather one must earn it.

Jack Darby:
So, different how? We talking "party animal"?

Ratchet:

Jack Darby:

This one lies within a highly fortified location, by human standards. I could tunnel in...

Megatron:
The time of prophesy is nearly upon us! We can no longer afford stealth.

Ratchet:

Optimus Prime:

Ratchet:

Arcee:

Optimus Prime:

Arcee:

Arcee and Optimus taking cover in the snow. Arcee saying how clumsy Bulkhead is

Optimus:
Bulkhead may be too large, for this world. But his inner strength is without bounds. One should not be measured by size alone.

Smokescreen and Optimus talking in the cave. Optimus slowly dying, and Smokescreen brings the Forge of Solus Prime to think Optimus will use it to repair himself.

Smokescreen:
Optimus the Forge is a relic of the Primes, we can’t use it to restore Cybertron, not without a Prime. Not without you.

Optimus:
*Straining to talk* There will be… a new Prime.

Smokescreen:
You can worry about that after we get you patched up and we can take down Megatron.

Optimus:
