Wake in Fright

Wake in Fright

An arrogant and dissatisfied English teacher in a remote Australian outback community looks forward to his Christmas break in Sydney. Required to spend the night in another remote town Bundayabba ("the Yabba") before his flight he is reluctanctly drawn into the male dominated, machismo culture of the community, losing his money and risking his sanity and finally his soul in a booze fuelled twenty four hours of gambling, sexual abandon and perversion, and brutal animal slaughter.
