Why isn't he standing up to Parker?

Edison:
Weird, isn't it? When Leap had you for a little brother, he was different. He always tried to do his best because you looked up to him.

Tad:
That's silly. Leap doesn't need me around to be himself.

Edison:
You think so? Well, it's hard to be a role model for someone you never met.

Tad:
Aw, you're cuckoo.

Parker:
Hey, you talkin' to me?

Tad:
No.

Parker:
Are you talkin' to me? Well, I don't see nobody else, so you must be talkin' to me.

Tad:
I'm talking to Edison. The bug with the cute little wings next to me. Duh.

Edison:
Uh, Tad, I forgot to tell you that, uh, no one else can see or hear me.

Tad:
That's probably not good.
