The Boys in Brazil

The Boys in Brazil2003

Geddy Lee:
Before we started this tour, we had to discuss how we were going to handle press. Because of the events in Neil's life and what had gone on, we knew there was going to be a lot of interest in what had happened and how he's doing. Most of it comes from a good place, but some of it is pure curiosity, and um, so we talked about it and he had... we had to feel that he could handle it, and you know, it's very emotional to talk about that kind of thing, and it's one thing to talk about that kind of thing with your friends, it's another thing when you're being asked it over and over and over and over again by people you don't know very well, and we just believe it was best for him just to not be involved in press. It was enough for him to come back to play on the record so well and to be a contributing part of the band again, and even be willing to spend that much time on the road, so that's asking a lot of him from where he was.
