Let me... let me say something. Surgeons, are something people don't understand uh... surgeons are like airplane pilots. Surgeons are not creative.

Jay Wingate:
Well, there's an old saying that I think perhaps you're familiar with, that internists are people who know everything and do nothing and surgeons do everything but know nothing.

Dr. Aldo Gehring:
Surgeries are only repetition, it's just plumming, one two three, one three two. There's no intellecutal aspects.

Jay Wingate:
What do you mean, no intellectual aspects?

Dr. Aldo Gehring:
To a surgeon a body is not sacred, it's a world, but a world without God. He obliterates the sun, a star, and then changes clothes and goes home. I'm talking about something else. The replacement of the falible body infalible, the perfection of this miracle we call life.

Jay Wingate:
Obliterates the star? That's a wonderful phrase.

Dr. Aldo Gehring:
The end is now the beginning. The end is not the end.
