[A SWAT team has discovered the remains of Troy's trap]

Officer:
Call came in at about 11:45. Woman heard an explosion. The fire department was first on the scene.

Rigg:
[Sees Kerry] Kerry, before you go in there-

Kerry:
[Grabs him] Is it him? Eric, is it him?

Rigg:
We don't know yet.

[Kerry walks into the bombed classroom, where Hoffman is examining some of the remains]

Hoffman:
It's not detective Matthews.

Kerry:
What happened?

Hoffman:
[Holds one of the hanging chains] The victim was held in place by these chains. [Picks up a burned teddy bear] This was the bomb. All he had to do was release himself from each of the chains. Walk out the door before it went off.

Rigg:
All he had to do?
