I remember nights listening to your stories of Texas and Mexico and the Civil War. I think the reason you're so smart is you've done things and seen things. Well, I gotta do that, too...

Marshal Jack Craddock:
[reading Willie's letter]... It probably ain't proper for a man to say, but I love you, Marshal, and I'm gonna miss you terrible. But you better be there when I get back, or I'm gonna have to chase you down. Your friend, Willie Haddon.
