What is that?

Well, farmers used them to store turnips and potatoes and things like that through the winter.

Lisa Douglas:
Oh. We had something like this in Hungary except it was called goulash cellar.

Oliver Wendell Douglas:
Goulash cellar?

Lisa Douglas:
Yes. My mother used to fix up this goulash, then, when she didn't feel like cooking, she would go down in the cellar and get a pots full.
