Marion Walters:
Where did that come from ?

Dr Jane Halifax:
It's something my father used to say.

Marion Walters:
Sounds like you disapproved of him for that.

Dr Jane Halifax:
You want me to say I hate him.

Marion Walters:
Do you ? Do you hate him Jane ? [Jane starts sobbing]

Marion Walters:
Hmm ? Why ?

Dr Jane Halifax:
I hate him for his high expectations. For his so-called perfection. For his blindness to his faults. For not telling me the truth. For his secrets. For teaching me to believe in strength... and honesty... and love. And for leaving me. [now in tears]
