Don't you think we oughta talk about this? We can't just go on not speaking.

Laura Ingalls:
I agree. Go ahead.

Almanzo James Wilder:
No. That's alright. You start.

Laura Ingalls:
I really don't have anything to say.

Almanzo James Wilder:
I thought you just said we ought to talk.

Laura Ingalls:
I've already told you how I feel.

Almanzo James Wilder:
And I told you how I feel.

Laura Ingalls:
When then why did you come driving all the way out here this time of night?

Almanzo James Wilder:
I told you. So we can talk.

Laura Ingalls:
Almanzo, we're not going to get anywhere like this. Now, I've told you how I fell and my mind is made up!

Almanzo James Wilder:
Oh I see. You just want me to apologize and say how wrong I was and how right you are. Well, I'm not going to do it! I'm not going to knuckle under just so you'll be happy. There's going to be more to our marriage than that!

Laura Ingalls:
What marriage? Who says we're getting married?

Almanzo James Wilder:
I do! You're wearing the engagement ring I gave ya, that I made payments on every month.

Laura Ingalls:
Well, just take it back! You shouldn't be buying things on credit anyway!
