Constable George Crabtree:
Shortly after we moved here, I believe, sir. It was a tough life for a dock girl back then; they suffered for their trade. So the reverend and my aunts made a deal: they could stay in the rectory as long as they ran a respectable business.

Detective William Murdoch:
Respectable?

Constable George Crabtree:
Yes, sir. All the customers had to wear a tie; no exceptions. And my aunts had to save their money, look out for one another, and they had to go to church every Sunday.

Detective William Murdoch:
And all of your aunts are named after flowers.

Constable George Crabtree:
Sir, that was my aunt Daisy's idea. They called themselves the Flower Girls of Flower Hill. Sometimes a gentleman caller would bring the flower of the girl he was calling.

Detective William Murdoch:
The reverend was a very wise man.

Constable George Crabtree:
Yes, indeed he was, sir.
