[Fires another beam at Twilight, which she blocks again]

Twilight Sparkle:
What you're doing goes way beyond cutie marks.

[Forms clouds into a snowball rolling down a hill towards a house]

Twilight Sparkle:
Everything we do here in the past, even the smallest change, can snowball into an avalanche of trouble for the future!

Starlight Glimmer:
[Fires a beam at the piece of cloud] Oh, next I suppose you'll tell me that the fate of all of Equestria hangs in the balance...

Spare me your overblown ego! No group of friends, not even Princess Twilight's, is that important!

[Fires a beam at young Rainbow Dash, again messing up her big race, then the time portal opens again]

Twilight Sparkle:
I don't know how important other ponies' friendships are to the future, but I can show you what the world is like without mine!

[Flies over to her and grabs her and quickly goes up into the portal to the present time with her, which this time is a barren dusty wasteland]
