John Reese:

Detective Lionel Fusco:
Carter's gunning for you. Hell, she's probably going to catch you. Why you spending so much time trying to protect her?

John Reese:
She's a good cop. Good person. Hell, you should try it sometime, Lionel.

Detective Lionel Fusco:
Yeah, thanks, look, I'm just saying, if she wasn't around, it would probably solve a lot of your problems, now, wouldn't it?

John Reese:
