Veronica Donovan:
What are you gonna do, Terrance? Shoot me? Blow my guts all over the house? Then what? You can't leave, remember? You kill me, you're stuck with me.

Terrence Steadman:
I'm safe here.

Veronica Donovan:
You're a prisoner here.

Terrence Steadman:
But I'm still breathing. If I go outside, one step, I won't be. You look at me like I'm the devil. I gave up my family. My teeth. [realisation dawns on Veronica's face] I eat Percocet all day just to dull the pain of my miserable existence. You have no idea what I've been through.

Veronica Donovan:
What you've been through? [pulls out the cell phone again] This isn't about you, Terrance.

Terrence Steadman:
Don't. [raises the gun again. Veronica raises her eyebrows and dials a number]

Receiver:
Blackfoot Sheriff's Department. Hello? Blackfoot Sheriff Department.

Veronica Donovan:
Hello, my name's Veronica Donovan; I need you to send a unit to the house at the end of Light Road as soon as possible.

Receiver:
Sorry ma'am, are you calling to report a crime?

Veronica Donovan:
Yeah. [looks hard at Steadman] By the President of the United States. Send the car.
