Margo Doyle:
[approaches desk, whispers] Hi, Joyce.

E. Joyce Togar:
[turns toward Margo, whispers] Hi, Margo. [turns back around, whispers] Norman Mailer. "The Naked and the Dead." And he's Jewish. Gone. [drops book into garbage]

Margo Doyle:
[whispers] What are you doing?

E. Joyce Togar:
[walks toward Margo, whispers] Books are a big influence on our children. It's up to us top channel that influence properly. [picks up the book Margo wants to check out of the library, gasps] Are you sure you want to read Fitzgerald? He was a terrible alcoholic, you know.

Margo Doyle:
[whispers] I had no idea.

E. Joyce Togar:
[walks back over to the garbage and drops the book in] Gone.
