Oh, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. You know, lots of Nevada kids have never seen a zoo, but they grew up around powder monkeys, giraffes, desert zebras and doodle bugs. I know - as a kid I rode a giraffe in the old Silver Sage mine near Tonepah and I was a donkey doctor's assistance at the Popcorn mine down near Beatty. In case you didn't know, a powder monkey is a man in charge of explosives; a giraffe is an ore car that's higher on one end than the other and a donkey doctor is the mechanic on a donkey engine sometimes called a desert zebra. You'll see them all wandering through a story called, "Hardrock Man".
