Rod Blake:
Well, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. No, my small friend here didn't figure in any of my cases. I saw him in a taxidermist's window and he caught my eye because he reminded me of another little fellow who could have been his brother and who did cooperate in a case. Of course, he didn't know he was cooperating, but without his help, we might never have known the truth about Hattie Hale. Hattie didn't think much of the new-fangled West where heated swimming pools had replaced the pump and cowboys chased cattle in jeeps instead of horses.
