Jack Hays:
Hey, Deaf. Who's a better mount? Your wife, or your horse?

'Deaf' Smith:
[Can't hear what they're saying] My horse?

Gator Davis:
He sure does love that horse.

'Deaf' Smith:
I see. You're having a nice jest at the expense of my impairment. The good thing is I don't need to hear no disparaging nonsense from the likes of you. You have something to say that matters, you best say it to my face.

Kit Acklin:
