Ms. Graves:
Well, boys, Mr. Besser has been telling me all about your new found vocabulary.

Vincent 'Vinnie' Nasta:
We can explain.

Jesse McCoy:
We can?

Vincent 'Vinnie' Nasta:
Um, not really.

Ms. Graves:
Mr. Besser thinks your parents should be called.

Both:
No, please don't. One more chance! Please!

Ms. Graves:
Do you promise never to swear again?

Vincent 'Vinnie' Nasta:
I swear I won't swear anymore. Uh oh, does that count as a swear?

Ms. Graves:
No. Okay, here's the deal. I'll give you boys one more chance. But if I hear that you've sworn even one more time, I'm gonna call your parents.

Jesse McCoy:
Never again. Promise.

Vincent 'Vinnie' Nasta:
No more swearing.

Ms. Graves:
Glad to hear it. But you know, it may not be as simple to stop as you think. Swearing can easily become a habit. But I have an idea that might help.

[she takes rubber bands out of a cup and places them on to the boys' wrists]

Ms. Graves:
Now, whenever you feel the urge to swear, you just snap the band. And that'll remind you not to.

Jesse McCoy:
Rubber bands? That's all? No punishment?

Vincent 'Vinnie' Nasta:
This is great, huh?

[Ms. graves shows them to the door]

Ms. Graves:
Oh, and I'll be expecting each of you to write a 200 word essay on why swearing is unacceptable.

Jesse McCoy:
200 words?

Both:
Holy - - [Ms. Graves clears her throat, reminding them of the bands, and they start snapping them] OW! OW! OW! OW!
