Justin Cammy:
[with formal politeness] Up to my room, Mother.

Valerie Prevort:
To do some... HOMEWORK, no doubt?

Justin Cammy:
Please, Mother, if I'm going to become a doctor, I have to get good grades, otherwise I'll never qualify for early admission to medical school.

Valerie Prevort:
[weeping] Oh! Oh! How did you get to be like this? Oh! I tried so hard to be a good mother. Where did I go wrong? Why can't you be like your brother?
