Tamang, Bir Bahadur:
[Nepalese, subtitles read] Today we've left the village to go for foreign country. We carry the earthgod, the villagegod and the housegod in our body. Our Family is sad in their hearts. We are not sad, our wives are at home. Maybe they worry, where we may reach, what may happen to us. We feel good.

Tamang, Jid Bahadur:
I know nothing of the world. We will see villages, valleys, mountains, rivers. There will be the same everywhere but we don't know in our hearts. This place in Nepal, where we were born, is a satisfying place. If we find it unsatisfying after our return, we should not leave it. Today we were offered garlands and flowers around our neck. This is our language, it is for our reputation. It also means, we shall not leave our village for ever. We shall come back to the village soon.
