Sailor's Little Brother: [writing about his older brother] I'll never forget how unhappy I was when he told us he'd joined the navy. I knew it was going to be a long time until I saw him again. He just laughed and told me he'd be back before I knew it. He wasn't. I still miss him a lot and wish he'd come back home, at least for a long visit. My ambition is to join up, just like he did, so we'll both be in the navy.
