I barely heard the quote by Michael Stivic but Gloria was pregnant and Mike didn't want to be a father. Apparently they had a big fight and Mike left the house. He cooled off and came back to the house. He told Gloria he apologized and wanted to write her a note … but he said a poet wrote it for him. I can't remember the poet. It was a very short poem that ended with the words "bouncing baby" or "bouncing a baby." The quote is very important to me for I have a friend who is struggling with the decision to have a baby at a fairly late age. Please reach me at 765-760-7621 or by email at: robonieal1224@gmail.com. Thank you!!“Look, honey, Look, honey,I... I was wrong.I... I really do wannahave the baby.Look,I want you to read somethin'.It says it a lotbetter than I can. It's, uh, somethingAlistair Cooke wrote.”“Alistair what?”“Alice, the cook.”"In the best of times, ourdays are numbered anyway. And so it would bea crime against naturefor any generation to takethe world crisis so solemnlythat it put offenjoying those thingsfor which we weredesigned in the first place. The opportunityto do good work,to fall in love,to enjoy friends, to hit a balland to bounce a baby."
