Taran Hathaway: [sitting on sink counter while Sam is fixing the plumbing] So, where's Kate?Sam Luck: [groans from exertion] She's working.Taran Hathaway: On a Sunday?Sam Luck: [looks up at her] She's tryin' to make a big impression. They got a big case coming up and she's responsible for all the research. There's a guy helping her, but I guess he's not doing much.Taran Hathaway: Hmm! And you don't mind? Her working on the weekends? And late nights? You don't think something might happen? Like an office affair? [he gets out of the sink and looks at her]Sam Luck: No. What are you talkin' about? [gets back under]Sam Luck: [mockingly] "Kate, I really need your help on this project. I just can't do it without you. We'll get a bottle of wine, some dinner; it's my treat. You might have to work all night long, though." Then, when they've had a few drinks, [hops off sink, now speaking seductively and faces Sam, who is partially sitting up, looking at her] maybe Kate's hair falls gently down her face, cascading over her cheek. [as she says this, she lets her own hair down and it cascades over her own cheek] You know how that happens. And the guy, he'll - he'll reach up to put her hair back behind her ear. But he won't take his hand away. Because the light's shining in her eyes and making them sparkle. He just can't help himself. "Kate, in my whole, entire life I've never seen anyone more beautiful than you. The way the light hits your eyes, I... I think I might explode if I don't touch you. [her and Sam stare at each other for a few seconds]Sam Luck: [amused] You got a wild imagination, you know that?Taran Hathaway: Come on. You honestly never thought about it? Not even once?Sam Luck: No. [hoists himself up; sighs softly]Taran Hathaway: That's admirable of you.Sam Luck: How's that?Taran Hathaway: I don't know. [intake of breath] If I were you, I wouldn't want Kate to work so much. And if I were Kate, I wouldn't want you to be alone so much. What's the sense of being in a committed relationship if you're spending 98% of the time without the other person? [Sam's eyes cast down and to the side] But, what do I know? [gets her face closer to his but then her head cranes to the sink] Well?Sam Luck: [looks to where she is look] Uh, well, I, uh... I think I've almost got it here. [leans forward and grabs small hammer and goes back under and gives 5 taps] Try it now.Taran Hathaway: [flips her hair and tries the sink] Nothing.Sam Luck: Nothing?Taran Hathaway: No.Sam Luck: Here we go. Try it now.Taran Hathaway: [tries it] Nope. [bangs a part of the plumbing again; hurts himself on the head; cries out and water spurts out of the sink in a thick stream, spraying her and she cries out] Turn it off! Turn it off!Sam Luck: [In pain] Ohhh!Taran Hathaway: No! Stop it!Sam Luck: [strained] I'm sorry! I got it! I got it! [turns a valve] Okay, there. [rubs head and groans]Taran Hathaway: [standing, looking at him] Are you okay? [he groans "ow"] Give me that before you hurt yourself again.Sam Luck: [ashamed, hand on head] I'm sorry.Taran Hathaway: Are you okay? [places hammer on sink's counter]
