    It seems this is one of those quotes attributed to more than one author with varying versions but it looks like it may have been in existence prior to Stevenson.

    There are 2 mistakes in that quote, the second one is really gross:
    Instead it should read: 1. and so much (not: an so much);
    2. of us to talk about (not: of us not to talk about).
    The word "not" in the second mistake inverses the meaning and probably stems from misunderstanding the words behooves and ill.
