I was reading about Alfred Adlers theory of inferiority complexes. How one has the need to achieve status and power in order to make up for their own insecurities. I reflected on my own insecurities and saw my desire for status, achievement, and felt a growing sense of pride that I needed to have in order to have the things I want. But, I did not like driving myself from a place of arrogance and fear. Then I thought about this quote, "Pride is not the opposite of shame but its source"
And the quote after "the only antidote to shame is true humility"

Who would've thought that such an insightful solution to the feelings of inadequacy was written into AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER.

There is a path to achievement and status with humility and balance.
