Title Card:
Butch Cassidy was one of the most wanted outlaws in North America in the early 20th century, leading legendary gangs like the Wild Bunch and the Train Robbers Syndicate. Hounded by the law and big companies, he fled to South America with his friend the Sundance Kid. Both were supposedly killed in a shootout with the Bolivian army in San Vicente, Bolivia, in 1908. Recently investigators analyzed remains found at the location where witnesses had claimed they were buried. They were not there.

Sundance:

James Joven:
Of course. Who could stay away from all this?

James Blackthorn aka Butch Cassidy:
One day I woke up and found myself alone. Seemed like everybody I knew was either dead or in jail. They thought I was dead too. So I just did what any good dead person would do; I went off and raised me some horses. Twenty years.

Ing. Eduardo Apodaca:
[posse approaching] James, I'm glad I'm with you.

James Blackthorn aka Butch Cassidy:
You know, before I met you - damn the day - I thought if I was gonna die of old age, I might as well go back home to do it. But hell, this seems like a good a day as any to die.

Ing. Eduardo Apodaca:
We're not going to die, old man.

James Blackthorn aka Butch Cassidy:
Of course not son, nobody ever does.

James Blackthorn aka Butch Cassidy:
[to Pinkerton agent] What the f*** are you doing in Bolivia? Don't you have anything better to do? And where's my pistol?

I've been my own man. Nothin' richer than that.

Sundance:

James Joven:
