Peter Bishop:
Mmm-mm. Greek. My mother used to say that to me every night before I went to bed.

[laughs] There really isn't a point where things just can't get weirder, is there? What does it mean?

Peter Bishop:
It means, be a better man than your father. Walter was already gone. It was like a code between my mother and me. It meant keep your people close. Take care of the people you care about.

Agent Olivia Dunham:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Peter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Astrid Farnsworth:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Olivia Dunham:
I don't know. Uh, I, Uh... I guess that I just always knew what it was I was meant to do.

Astrid Farnsworth:
[referring to experimenting on a drugged FBI agent] Walter, I do not think this is a very good idea.

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Astrid Farnsworth:
Walter, what's wrong?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Either a green unicorn just raced across the lab, or I accidentally took some LSD.

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Phillip Broyles:
Why are shape-shifting soldiers from another universe stealing frozen heads?

Peter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Peter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Peter Bishop:
Yes, I was. Until the summer before high school, not that I'd expect you to remember that.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
I just pissed myself.

Peter Bishop:
Excellent.

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:
The only thing better than a cow is a human! Unless you need milk. Then you really need a cow.

Nina Sharp:
[uncovers body on gurney] How long has he been dead?

Orderly:

Nina Sharp:

Peter Bishop:
Sweetheart, we all love someone who's dying.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Now... Let's go synthesize some LSD!

Agent Olivia Dunham:
[to Peter] One phone call. That's all it takes, you want me to make it cause I've got my phone in my pocket. [pause and takes phone out of pocket] Now it's out of my pocket.

Peter Bishop:
You wanted my father, now you've got my father. Which falls into the category be careful what you wish for [pause] sweetheart.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
I'm so sorry, that I can't offer you a less dangerous solution.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
What to you mean?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Didn't I mention it?

Peter Bishop:
What ever you think you said, you didn't say.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Synaptic Transfer System, shared dream state.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
What do you mean shared dream state?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
The human brain generates a quantifiable electric field. I possited in 1976, that it is possible to synchronize two distinct minds to allow the sharing of information across the unconcious state. Like a string between two tin cans.

Peter Bishop:
[in the background] You know what's great about that is that it's completely insane.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
You're saying that I can talk to John in a Coma, and he can tell me what the suspect looks like?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
It's not an exact science

Peter Bishop:
[in the background] It's not even science

Agent Olivia Dunham:
Have you done this before?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
I have used this technique to extract information from a corpse once. You can do that if they haven't been dead for longer than six hours.

Peter Bishop:
[in the background] Right, 'cause after six hours, that's when they're really dead.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
You could access his memories, assuming there's no brain damage. Of course you'd have to have an electro magnetic probe placed in the base of your skull whilst immersed without clothing in the old tank, and you'd be heavily drugged.

Phillip Broyles:
[BROYLES follows DUNHAM as he tries to recruit her for his team] You must not have heard me, I said stop. They're calling these events a pattern. As if someone out there is experimenting only the whole world is their lab. You've seen it now, you know.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
I don't want to know. I have a job.

Phillip Broyles:
This is a more important job. Anything, anybody you need you can have.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
I like the job I've got. And the man I do it with which you've seemed to deduce on your own.

Phillip Broyles:
Look around. You see all these people going about their lives, no idea what's happening around them, what they're in the middle of.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
I just want to go back to before.

Phillip Broyles:
Dunham, I don't think you can.

[first lines]

[open on plane flying through a storm]

Flight Attendant:
[on P.A] Zeichen ist Angeschaltet. Befestigen sie bitten ihre Sicherheitsguertel. The Captain has turned on the "fasten seat belt" sign. Please make sure your seat belts are securely fastened.

German Woman:
Ich moechte sehen, wie der film weiter geht.

Denver Man:
I don't speak German. I'm from Denver.

German Woman:
Dies ist mein erst flug.

Denver Man:
I'm from Den...

[Thunder crashes, people gasp. A passenger is in some physical distress, breathing heavily, shuddering. He pulls out a case and from it takes a bag containing an insulin dosing pen which he injects into his belly]

Pilot:
[on P.A] Wir durchfliegen jetzt starke Turbulenzen. Nehmen sie bitte ihre plaetze ein.

Indian Man:
My friend, it is just an electrical storm.

Morgan Steig:
I understand.

Indian Man:
[offers a pack] Here. Gum?

Morgan Steig:
No. Um, thank you.

[He leans forward, takes off his seat belt, gets out of his seat, and with great effort works his way to the front of the plane]

Flight Attendant:
Mein herr, sie mussen sich hinsetzen. Beruehigen sie sich!

[the lights start flickering and the plane climbs sharply to get above the storm]

Flight Attendant:
Beruehigen sie sich!

[She continues to call out to the passenger indistinctly, catches up with him and turns him around. His features are melted. She gasps and screams. As he vomits bile on her, the other passengers also scream. She runs back from him and rushes to the rear phone for the cockpit, passing the Indian Man who is now also afflicted]

Flight Attendant:
[into phone] Scott, haben wir en notartzt?

[the passenger continues to struggle forward. The co-pilot opens the cockpit door to see what's going on]

Pilot:
Sprechen sie mit mir! Was zum teufel passiert?

[Every passenger is now afflicted and screaming in horror]

Pilot:
Warum anboten sie mich nicht? Sprechen sie mit mir!

[the auto pilot is engaged. The pilot looks back to the co-pilot at the door. The co-pilot turns, and he too is melting, his lower jaw splitting and falling off. Outside, the plane peacefully flies on, clearing the storm, flying level, under autopilot, over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean]

[describing Walter Bishop's son]

Agent Olivia Dunham:
His name is Peter Bishop. He's a high school drop-out, I.Q. at 190, which is 50 points north of genius, misfit, nomad, hasn't kept a job longer than two months. He's been a wildland fireman, cargo pilot, and, briefly, a college chemistry professor. He falsified a degree from M.I.T. and even managed to get a few papers published before he was found out. Sounds like a massive pain in the ass.

Peter Bishop:
Let me ask you something.

Peter Bishop:
[sighs] My father- not my favorite- he is without a doubt the most self-absorbed, twisted, abusive, brilliant, myopic son of a b*tch on the planet. So, he was a chemist. That much I already know. He worked out of a basement lab in Harvard, doing research for a toothpaste company. I also know that there was an accident at the lab one night, that my father was arrested, beginning the first truly peaceful period in our home. But here's the thing, Olivia; my gut tells me that your friend's life, the one hanging in the balance, not gonna be saved by a tube of toothpaste.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
[takes a long pause] He worked out of Harvard, but not on toothpaste. He was part of a classified U.S. Army experimental program called "Kelvin Genetics". They gave him the resources to do whatever work he wanted, which was primarily in an area called "fringe science."

Peter Bishop:
When you say "fringe science," you mean "pseudoscience."

Agent Olivia Dunham:
Things like mind control, teleportation, astral projection, invisibility, genetic mutation, reanimation, fertility...

Peter Bishop:
[chuckling] Woah. Excuse me for a sec. Reanimation? Really? So you're telling me, what, my father was Dr. Frankenstein?

[She doesn't answer]

John Scott:
[into phone] Well, let me assure you, we'd be happy to treat you as family, too.

Peter Bishop:
We're putting GPS chips on carrier pigeons to find a man who can control electricity. I have you to thank for that, don't I?

Agent Olivia Dunham:
Yeah. That's me.

Peter Bishop:
He was awake until five in the morning reciting the chemical compositions of his favorite beverages to me. That was right after he finished lecturing me on how I'd squandered my above-average intellect and my substantial education. All while he was standing there naked, because he prefers the breeze.

Olivia Dunham:
He would rather go back to St. Claire's than work here without you. He said that more than once.

Peter Bishop:
Was he wearing clothes at the time?

Olivia Dunham:
Your credentials have been approved. Civilian consultant to the Department of Homeland Security.

Peter Bishop:
Does this mean I don't need an escort to come into the Federal Building anymore?

Olivia Dunham:
Yeah.

Peter Bishop:
Will it get me out of speeding tickets?

Olivia Dunham:
Maybe.

[into his cell phone, when the cylinder has appeared]

The Observer:
It has arrived.

Peter Bishop:
[to The Observer] Who the hell are you? What *is* the cylinder?

Peter Bishop, The Observer:
[the Observer speaking slightly after Peter Bishop, but with progressively less delay] You know what it is, don't you? Why is it here? Why now? Who *are* you?

Peter Bishop, The Observer:
[speaking simultaneously] Apples, bananas, rhinoceros. "I Want to Hold Your Hand."

Peter Bishop, The Observer:
[the Observer speaking one word ahead of Peter] "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

The Observer:
Do you really know my father? Did you talk to him this afternoon? Are you his friend?

[the Observer raises a gun at Peter and pulls the trigger. Peter groans and falls, but there was no muzzle flash or normal gunshot noise]

Peter Bishop:
You know there is still one thing that doesn't make any sense. If the formula for the toxin didn't come from your father's notes, how did this guy get it?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Perhaps there are mysteries that are destined to remain unsolved. Thank you for bringing this back.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Kent Street. I frequented a massage parlor just around the corner. I used to get off right here.

Peter Bishop:
Sure hope you're talking about the station, Walter.

Henrietta Bishop:
[about a complex physics formula retrieved from a secret location] Will you be able to figure it out?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
[Frustrated] Don't you understand, this is Greek to me! Except I read Greek. This is Aramaic to me! Not the western dialect, I do speak that.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
To understand what happened at the diner, we use Mr. Papaya. [he places the papaya in the container and steps back] This is upsetting because he is the friendliest of fruits.

Olivia Dunham:
I guess by now you're heard.

Phillip Broyles:
That you frog-marched a senior officer of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate out of his office? Yeah, I heard. Quite a few cameras there.

Olivia Dunham:
[shrugs] The press. They always get their pound of flesh. I understand that you think I acted too emotionally. Putting aside the fact that men always say that about women they work with, I'll get straight to the point: I am emotional. I do bring it into my work. It's what motivates me. It's what helps me get into the headspace of our victims, see what they've seen, even if I don't want to, even if it horrifies me. And I think it makes me a better agent. If you have a problem with that, I'm sorry. You can fire me. But I hope you don't.

Phillip Broyles:
You're not getting off that easy, Agent Dunham. I'll see you in the morning.

David Robert Jones:
Every horse needs a carrot; every mouse a piece of cheese.

Olivia Dunham:
He told me he loved me.

Charlie Francis:
I wasn't going to tell you this, but he said he loved me too.

Peter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Of course I am. I've been making it myself in the lab.

Oh, I wish you were joking.

Dr. Walter Bishop:

Astrid Farnsworth:
Wait, you want to rewire his brain?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Not without his permission. It would be a minor surgery.

Peter Bishop:
Minor brain surgery. Emphasis not on the minor.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
I believe with proper demodulation, you could receive satellite television for free.

Peter Bishop:
[on cell phone] Walter, I'm with a woman in her mid 20's. She is going into cardiac arrest due to an overdose of anesthesia. Her heart just stopped.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Do you have any cocaine?

Peter Bishop:
Cocaine? No, I don't have any cocaine...

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Oh - That's too bad. You'll have to shock her heart then.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
Stay there.

Peter Bishop:
That's just not gonna happen.

[about a severed hand in a jar]

Peter Bishop:
Friend of yours?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Oh, I certainly hope not.

[looking through the glass at the interrogation in the other room] This is wonderful, don't you agree? It's just like a good detective movie.

Agent Olivia Dunham:
Cut open his hand.

Peter Bishop:
What?

Agent Olivia Dunham:

Dr. Walter Bishop:
[gets on his feet] I like cutting.

Dr. Walter Bishop:
This is an antidote. While I can't guarantee it'll actually work, I do have a recorded IQ of...

Agent Olivia Dunham:

Dr. Walter Bishop:

[in darkness] I've been waiting quite a long time for this.

[steps into the light] I'm William Bell.

Phillip Broyles:
[Phones ring suddenly, interrupting a complex conversation between Broyles, Dunham, Francis & Nina Sharp. Broyles picks up his phone] Broyles!

Agent Olivia Dunham:
[Dunham picks up hers] Dunham!

Charlie Francis:
[Francis wasn't left out either] Francis!

Priest:

Dr. Newell:

Maureen Donovan:

Dr. Walter Bishop:
[in old film] My name is Dr. Walter Bishop, and this is test subject number 6.

Peter Bishop:
[watching film] What happened to test subjects 1 through 5?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
I believe the university settled with them out of court, and they probably never had to work again.

Peter Bishop:
Well, you know me. If you tell me the US government is covering something up, I'll tell you it must be Tuesday.

Maureen Donovan:
What kind of drugs?

Dr. Walter Bishop:
Benzodiazepine. It's a hypnotic, sedative, may cause a slight tingling sensation - it's actually quite pleasant. Besides, your daughter is 17. I'm sure she's sampled far worse by now.

Lisa Donovan:
So is Agent Dunham, like, your girlfriend?

Peter Bishop:
No, she's like a friend who's a girl. And who carries a gun.

Peter Bishop:
Son of a b*tch! If he lives through this I'm going to kill him myself!

Olivia Dunham:

[the body bursts open and a flood of larvae comes out]
