Huron #1:
My sister North Wind now has a home as cold as her name... What does a white woman know... [shouting]... of the suffering of the Hurons?

[Huron warriors shout in agreement]

Sarah Pritchard:
In all wars, innocent people suffer. My husband Thomas was killed by the Hurons. I will never see him again. Nor did I have the opportunity to say good-bye. So because of this, North Wind and I share the same suffering.

[Hawkeye cites the parable of the Good Samaritan]

Chingachgook:
Samaritan? What tribe is that?

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:
A good tribe.

[last lines]

Chingachgook:
[Hawkeye wins a game that he lost at earlier] You cheated! You cheated!

Elizabeth Shields:
Can I ask you something?

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:
Don't know how I can stop you.

Elizabeth Shields:
Why are you angry?

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:
This isn't how it was planned.

Elizabeth Shields:
So that's what this is about, that you were wrong about something?

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:
What it's about is that I should have learned to speak French.

Elizabeth Shields:
So you wouldn't have to haul me along with you?

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:

Elizabeth Shields:
Well I certainly never planned to be a part of this war.

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:

[after escaping from French soldiers, Chingachgook finally makes the rendezvous with Hawkeye and Elizabeth]

Natty 'Hawkeye' Bumppo:
And where in the Creator's name have you been? [goes to take supplies from Chingachgook]

Chingachgook:
[holds them out of Hawkeye's reach and prompts him for a thank-you] "Thank you for saving our lives, Chingachgook."

Elizabeth Shields:
[still out of breath from running] Thank you for saving our lives, Chingachkook.

Chingachgook:
[hands supplies over to Hawkeye and smiles at her] My pleasure, Mrs. Shields.

[shoots Hawkeye an annoyed look]

[distracting French soldiers to get their cannon]

Elizabeth Shields:
[in French] Gentlemen! Do not drink the water. It's not good. There are... four dead soldiers upstream. The water is bad!

[the ploy works and the soldiers empty their canteens]
