Man with a Camera

Mike Kovac:
[narrating] I decided that infrared pictures were in order. With this equipment, I could take pictures in the dark, with no flash to give me away.

Pete Montee:
[Concerning his missing girlfriend] I always did like her when her hair was black... blacker than a dark alley on skid row.

[first lines]

Klemer:
[three men wearing suits, arguing inside the well-furnished study of Paxton's home] I'm not leaving here without it, and I mean that!

Paxton:
Come on now, Joe. Why don't we just go along the way we have been?

Klemer:
I'm sick of 'going along'. We're gonna end this thing, here and now!

Randolph:
And then what? You go to the police.

Klemer:
I can't do that, and you know it.

Randolph:
[pulls revolver from holster] Well, maybe I better make sure.

Klemer:
[brushes gun aside] You can't afford to shoot me! Why don't you stop bluffing?

Paxton:
He's right, Randolph. We've had it with him. Let's cut it off.

[opening narration]

Mike Kovac:
I'm Mike Kovac, photographer. Amusement parks are fun for most people and a business for others, but there are times when all the amusement goes out of a business.

[opening narration]

Mike Kovac:
I'm Mike Kovac, photographer. A Deputy District Attorney named Martin Denny called me in on a murder case. He wanted some pictures taken. Not of the killer or the victim but of a witness he had in custody.

[last lines]

Ed Kern:
What a great cop I am.

Mike Kovac:
Yeah, what a great cop you are. I ask you to meet me in that car wash. Where were you?

Ed Kern:
I was there, Mike. I thought I'd lay low till maybe they'd spill to you.

Mike Kovac:
And if they shot me instead?

Ed Kern:
Well, that's a chance I had to take.

Mike Kovac:
You had to take!
