Ranger Mason:

Brock Harrison:

Ash:

Ranger Mason:
Don't you worry Larvitar. We're going to do everything we can to get your mother back. [Larvitar freezes]

Misty:
This Larvitar hardens everytime someone it doesn't know tries to talk to it.

Ranger Mason:

Brock Harrison:
This Larvitar needs time to warm up to people

James of Team Rocket:

Misty:

Big-Pikachu.

[Brock growls at Charmandar]

Brock Harrison:

[Pikachu laughs]

[Pikachu runs circles around Leiutennat Surge's Raichu]

Misty Williams:
The plan is working like you said it would Brock.

Brock Harrison:
Right. Raichu evolved too fast and it never learned any of the speed attacks it can only learn in the Pikachu stage.

Brock:
It's oh too clear to me now. It was because of a painful seperation from its mother that Larvitar is petrified of the outside world. With zero trust in humans.

Misty:
That Tiranitar must be Larvitar's mother.

Ash:
Poor Larvitar. Lavitar please you have to remember all of the good times that we had together.

Brock:
Not all humans are bad. You just have to give us a chance.

Misty:
Where's Professor Ivy?

[Brock groans and turns blue]

Ash:
Brock? What's wrong?

Brock:

Ash:

I guess you could say it [the pokemon match between Ash and Misty] was called on account of "drain?" [laughs]

Jessie:

Brock Harrison:

Ash:

[Team Rocket has just performed a cheer for Ash and Pikachu] That was really disturbing.

Jessie:

Meowth:
Yeah, that whining only makes you hungrier.

Jessie:
Good thing we ran into this sign.

James of Team Rocket:

Ash:
Hey, guys, help me out of this hole.

Misty:
We'd love to help you, Ash, but unfortunately, you're standing on us.

Ash:

TIME OUT! [James comes running out of Team Rocket's Golem machine]

May:
[May runs up to James] I'll trade you.

James of Team Rocket:

May:

James of Team Rocket:

James of Team Rocket:
Ahh! My Mime Jr is back where it belongs.

May:
[Giggling] I got my egg back.

James of Team Rocket:

Meowth:
We were about to take Elekid and Pikachu.

Torchic:
Torchic? Torchic? [Torchic starts crying]

Max , Caterpie, Butterfree, Additional Voices:
Oh Torchic! There you are.

Meowth:
What's wrong?

Max , Caterpie, Butterfree, Additional Voices:
Torchic is afraid it will never see May again.

Meowth:
Well, crying ain't gonna help, I already tried that.

Pikachu:
[screaming as a gigantic Ryhorn comes charging towards them] PIKA PI!

Meowth:
My head says to move but my feet ain't listening!

Jessie:
[after encountering a smelly Gloom] It smells TERRIBLE.

James of Team Rocket:
It smells like old sneakers mixed with rotten eggs and dead fish with just a hint of skunk fumes.

Meowth:
My nose feels like it's on fire!

Jessie:
Meowth, you don't have a nose.

Meowth:
Huh? [Looks at the empty space] My nose! What happened? The stink dissolved it off my face! [pauses] Hmm? Oh! Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The cartoonist never gave me a nose.

Meowth:
[after successfully binding a Hypno and Drowzee to their metal-winged flying system] We got them! Now, we'll fly away with our catch!

James of Team Rocket:
I don't get it. Why didn't we do this from the beginning?

Jessie:
[referring to the show runtime] Well, we HAVE to fill a half-hour!

Old Woman/Ghastly:
I've been watching you. You're up to no good! And there's no good in your future!

James of Team Rocket:
Who? The police, the sheriff, the FBI?

Old Woman/Ghastly:
I see a young and beautiful woman who will lead you to a cruel fate.

James of Team Rocket:
I don't need a fortune teller to know that. Some woman is ALWAYS causing me trouble! It's a curse...

Jessie:
[stares suspiciously towards James] WHO exactly do you mean?

Pokedex:
Ratata forages in the forest for fruits, roots, nuts, and berries.

Ash:
But this isn't a forest! It's an open field!

Pokedex:
They also come out to open fields to steal food from stupid travellers.

Ash:
D-Does that mean that... I'm stupid?

Pikachu:
[laughing hard] Pika, pika, pika!

James:
So the twerps have a little lunch by the lake, huh?

Meowth:
Yeah, and while they're lunchin' lunch, we'll pinch Pikachu, right Jess?

[Jessie, however, is eating a sandwich]

James:
Hey, who said it was lunch time?

Meowth:
Yeah, where's ours?

Jessie:
[with a full mouth] It's all gone.

Jessie:
Well, did you guys hear that?

James:
I heard king, and king means jewels.

Meowth:
And jewels mean dough. Lots of dough!

[after Gliscor lands a Giga Impact behind Drapion and performs a mid-air somersault, much to Ash's and Team Rocket amazement, and the shock of Paul and his Drapion]

Dawn:
Now THAT'S the way to be in an air battle.

Barry:
Yeah! Gliscor's training is finally paying off!

Brock:
Right! And you can thank the Air Battle Master!

[voice-over]

Brock:
Now Gliscor's safe even after not being able to move for a while right after using Giga Impact.

Ash:
Gliscor, let's see what you've learned from your training with the Air Battle Master! You ready?

Ash's Gliscor:
[nods] Gliscor!

Ash:
[thinking] I know Drapion's battle style by now, and the only one who can turn the tables on Paul is Gliscor.

James of Team Rocket:
[he is hanging by a rope held by Meowth and Jessie, over a case in a museum] [totally deadpan] Slowly. Slowly. Please don't drop me.

Meowth:
Don't worry about that! Just make sure if you fall, you don't fall and break that trophy! [they almost lose control and drop him]

James of Team Rocket:
Alright. I'm calmer now.

Jessie:
[all sliding on rope towards tree] Prepare for trouble!

James of Team Rocket:
Make it double!

Jessie:

James of Team Rocket:

Jessie:

Ash Ketchum:
Reality can really bum you out...

Ash Ketchum:

Jesse:

[after Paul sent in Electivire]

Ash:
[thinking] Electric-type moves have no effect on Gliscor, but still...

Gliscor:
[turns to Ash] Gliscor Gli Gliscor.

Ash:

[short pause]

Ash:
'Kay, you got yourself a deal.

Moe:
You remind me of my granddaughter.

Misty:
We don't have any money, but we'd be happy to work to pay for any damages.

Brock:
French-fried flounder! Seven layered crab cakes! Get 'em while they're cold!

Ash Ketchum:
Try our new squid on a stick!

Brock:
And our clam juice snow cones!

Jesse:
[Team Rocket confront a barrier of living vines] All right, garden wall, you axed for it!

Brock:
James: We're the toughest team you ever saw!

Meowth:
Let's cut to the chase!

Jesse:
A timber-tantrum, eh? Let's cut to the root of its problem!

Meowth:
Bonsai!

Brock:
James: I think its bite is as bad as its bark!

Jesse:

Brock:

Meowth:

[last lines]

Narrator:
[voice-over] Although our heroes can breathe a sigh of relief now that Pachirisu is back to good health, the responsibilities of being a good trainer have given Ash and Dawn something to think about and act on as their Celestic Town journey contin...

Ash Ketchum:
[cuts off] We forgot Gliscor!

[Both three gasp in horror. Back on the road to the cabin at sunset, Gliscor is still hopping back home]

Gliscor:
Gliscor.

[collapses; angrily]

Gliscor:
SCOOORRR!

[after Gliscor lands on Brock with her full body]

Brock:
[painfully] Wow, you're heavy.

Gliscor:
[gets up] Scor.

Brock:
You're Ash's Gliscor. So what's up?

Gliscor:
[impersonating Pachirisu] Gliscor Gli!

[pretends to have a fever]

Gliscor:
Gliscor Gli!

[curls up, resembling sickness]

Gliscor:
[weakly] Gliscor Gli...

Brock:
[confused] Uh...

Gliscor:
[sets out puppy-dog eyes] Gli!

Brock:
Huh? There's some sort of trouble, right?

Meowth:
Hey, Gligar's been gliscored.

Jessie:
Good. The spitting image of our Gliscor Bot.

James:
That means OUR Gliscor will have someone to look up to.

Ash Ketchum:
Gliscor's MINE, right, Gliscor?

Gliscor:
[determined] Gliscor!

[Just as soon as Gligar thanked Ash for finally allowing it to evolve, they find themselves ambushed by Team Rocket]

James:
All right, jail breakers, we'll take it from here.

Jessie:
It's back in the twerp box for you.

Ash Ketchum:
Can't you guys GIVE it a rest?'!

Meowth:
[laughs] What? And miss out on playin' wit' toys and messin' wit' YOU?'!

Wobbuffet:
[hopping] Wobbuffet!

James:
One Gligar, please.

Meowth:
[presses a button] Ta go!

[the Gliscor Bot's tail is aiming for Gligar, much to its surprise]

Ash Ketchum:
LOOK OUT!

[grabs Gligar before both are suspended by the tail from behind]

Ash Ketchum:
AAAAHHH! Quick, Gligar, you've gotta get moving.

[throws Gligar in the canyon]

Gligar:
Gli! GLIGAR!'!'!'!'!'!'!'!

[Jessie and Meowth gasp in horror; James glares at Ash]

Jessie:
The twerp flipped.

James:
[pointing at Ash] Bad twerp!

Ash Ketchum:
[struggling] No, you don't.

[Unfortunately, at the same time Ash escapes the machine's grasp, he also falls into the canyon]

Ash Ketchum:
Aaaaaaahh!

[after both Gligar and Ash fell into the canyon to escape Team Rocket]

Ash Ketchum:
WAHHHH!

[Gligar gets shocked in mid-fall once noticing Ash falling past her and tries to stop him from falling, but isn't fast enough]

Gligar:
Gligar!

[calls to Ash, grinning]

Gligar:
GLIGAR!

Ash Ketchum:
GLIGAR, HEADS UP!

[pulls the Razor Fang out of his pocket and throws it at Gligar]

Ash Ketchum:
The Razor Fang! GRAB it!

Gligar:
[heads for the Razor Fang and grabs it] Gli!

[as soon as Gligar grabbed the Razor Fang, it starts evolving, much to Ash's delight, and is revealed to have evolved into Gliscor once the light enshrouding it fades]

Gliscor:
Gli, Gliscor.

Ash Ketchum:
[delighted] It evolved!

[looks down in shock]

Ash Ketchum:
Huh?'! Whoa!

[continues shouting and flailing uncontrollably, until Gliscor appears out of nowhere and grabs him]

Gliscor:
Gli.

[lowers its tail to the ground to cushion the impact]

Ash Ketchum:
Thanks, Gliscor. What a catch.

Gligar:
Gli, Gliscor.

Dawn:
It's the poetry guy's grandson!

[the others facefault out of embarrassment just in front of Gary and Gligar, much to their surprise]

Gary:
Hey, it'd be a lot easier if you used my name.

[after Gligar successfully plows a tall tree, which now connects both sides of the canyon]

Ash Ketchum:
You did it, Gligar!

[happily dancing with Gligar]

Ash Ketchum:
You did it!

[twirls Gligar]

Ash Ketchum:
You did it!

[calmly holds up the Razor Fang]

Ash Ketchum:
You know what that means. You can use the Razor Fang and evolve if you want to.

Gligar:
[amazed] Gli...

[happily hugs Ash]

Gligar:
Gligar!

[When James is trying to wake up Jessie and Meowth, Ash and Gligar managed to climb out of the chasm, much to Ash's exhaustion]

Gligar:
[nervous] Gligar?

Ash Ketchum:
[calmly] I'm telling you, you gotta stop worrying. Now first things first, we gotta figure out how to cross.

[notices a tall tree near the cliff]

Ash Ketchum:
I've got it. That'll work. 'Kay, Gligar,

[pointing at the tree]

Ash Ketchum:
Use Steel Wing to knock down that tree!

Gligar:
[jumps up] Gligar!

Ash Ketchum:
That's it! Now give it all you got!

Gligar:
[determined] Gli.

[heads for the tree]

Gligar:
Gar!

[hits the tree, but no luck]

Gligar:
Gli!

[gets knocked back and into Ash's arms]

Ash Ketchum:
[concerned] You all right?

Gligar:
[notices the pain in its pincers] Gli.

[struggles to get up, and manages to unfazed]

Gligar:
Gligar.

[after Gligar manages to get up unfazed, despite its failure to knock down a tree]

Ash Ketchum:
[shocked] Whoa, what's gotten into you?

[excited]

Ash Ketchum:
Way to go! I know you can do it now!

Gligar:
Gli!

Ash Ketchum:
'Kay, use Steel Wing!

Gligar:
[standing on its tail] Gli!

[flapping its wings]

Gligar:
Gli, gli, gli!

[leaps up]

Ash Ketchum:
All you have to do is keep believing in yourself!

Gligar:
Gligar!

[heads for the tree]

Ash Ketchum:
Now hit it!

Gligar:
[knocks the tree down] Gligar! Gli!

Misty:
Jessie: Thousands are inside rooting for Ash, while Team Rocket is outside rooting through trash!

Meowth:
Let's come up with some plans and get outta these cans!

Brock:
Say, there's a way to swipe Pikachu that I know...

Misty, Brock, Meowth:
So let's all get to work and get on with the show!

Ash:
POKEBALL GO! [Ash throws a pokeball at Corphish and captures it. The pokeball sucks Corphish inside itself and continues to make a whirring sound until it stops] Alright! I CAUGHT A CORPHISH!

Pikachu:
Pi-Pika-Chu!

Ash:
Corphish COME ON OUT!

Corphish:
Cor-phish-phish-phish!

Ash:
Hey Corphish would you like to come with us on our journey?

Corphish:
[Nodding its head yes] Cor-phish-phish-phish!

Ash:
It's great to have you. Welcome to the team. [Ash goes to shake Corphish's claw. Corphish's handshake is so strong that it flings Ash over its back]

Ash:
Oh! Corphish may be a strong pokemon but it has a lot to learn about team spirit.

Dawn:
[about the security guard] Do you think maybe nobody's in the security room anymore?

Brock:
Or do you think he's still napping?

Ash Ketchum:
Man, that's all we need.

Lyra:
Guess we have no choice but to wait.

Khoury:
What are we going to do if he never sees us?

Lyra:
Come on, Khoury. What are you talking about?

Khoury:
What if that security guard leaves without noticing us and goes off on a long vacation or something? That means one thing... We're going to be stuck in this tiny room FOR THE REST OF OUR LONELY, FRUSTRATED AND PATHETIC LITTLE LIVES!

[after being doused by Squirttle's water gun Pikachu lets off a thundershock that not only shocks the Squirttle but shocks Ash, Misty, and Brock as well] PI-KA-CH-U KOCK-IT-OFF!

Brock Harrison:
[Wearily] Wet clothes conduct electricity.

James of Team Rocket:
[screaming at his parents, as he runs in circles around the dungeon to avoid Jessiebelle, who has a whip] If you two weren't such lousy parents, you'd stop this mad woman!

[when the gang is searching for their Pok?mon]

Barry:
Man, oh man, Ash. Commemorative picture, my foot. This is all your fault, you know.

Ash Ketchum:
What?'! All my fault?'!

Dawn:
Argue all you want, but nothing's gonna change.

Gliscor:
[from above] Gliscor!

Ash Ketchum:
[noticing his Flying-type Pok?mon] Staravia! Gliscor!

Gliscor:
Gliscor!

[lands on Ash and glomps him]

Ash Ketchum:
Nice to see you, too.

[Team Rocket are traveling in the night while suddenly tinfoil hits them]

Meowth:
What's with the sparkles?

James:
That's flying tinfoil.

Jessie:
For what?

Meowth:
[points off-screen] That!

Gliscor:
Gliscor!

[lands inside Team Rocket's balloon basket]

Meowth:
[to Jessie and James] This Gliscor's from the twerps. [to Gliscor] What are you doing on a night like this?

Gliscor:
[calmly] Gliscor, Gli. Gli, Gliscor, Gli.

Jessie:
Translation, please.

Meowth:
Gliscor's trying to read the wind so it can battle Scizor for the win.

James:
I see... not.

Ash Ketchum:
[holds up Gliscor's Pok?-Ball] Okay, Gliscor, time for bed.

Gliscor:
[reluctant] Scor!

Ash Ketchum:
But Gliscor, you've gotta get some rest.

Brock:
I guess Gliscor's got a lot to think about.

Ash Ketchum:
[sadly] Guess so.

[after Gliscor's air battle training; in the morning]

McCann:
Really? You want an air battle with me again?

Maya:
Even though Gliscor wasn't able to land a single hit before?

Ash Ketchum:
Yes, we do. We're asking for another chance, please.

Pikachu:
Pika.

Piplup:
Piplup.

Dawn:
Oh, please, sir. Ash and Gliscor worked really hard all night long learning to read the wind.

Brock:
They get it now.

Ash Ketchum:
'Course, we might not be able to beat Scizor after this, but still. We really wanna check how far we've come, and look at Gliscor's progress.

Gliscor:
[determined] Gli!

McCann:
Dear, what should I do?

Maya:
Well, there's always more time to kill, so why not?

[while Ash and co. are sleeping, Pikachu goes outside, where Gliscor is gazing at the moon, still mourning about his loss]

Pikachu:

Ash Ketchum:

Gliscor:

Ash Ketchum:
Hey, what do you say we take a whack at trying to read the wind, just like McCann said?

Gliscor:
[heads up] Gli? [grins] Scor.

[after everyone appreciated Gliscor's improved skills used in the rematch with Scizor]

McCann:
Tell me, Ash. How would you like to leave Gliscor with me for a little training?

Ash Ketchum:
Leave Gliscor here?

McCann:
If your Gliscor was able to read the wind that well in just one night, there's a making of a great pupil here.

Ash Ketchum:
[astonished] Whoa. I don't know what to say.

McCann:
It's quite amazing how this reminds me of the very first time I met Scizor. It's been a long time since I've met a Pok?mon I wanted to train.

Gliscor:
[shocked] Gliscor?

[stares at the ground, thinking]

Gliscor:
Gli...

[when the gang asks McCann to battle Ash's Gliscor]

Maya:
Why not? Since you're retired, there's not that much to do.

McCann:
Perhaps. Might be a nice way to kill some time.

[Both Dawn and Brock sweatdrop and chuckle at this, while Gliscor gives a "I don't get it" look]

Ash Ketchum:
Kill some time, huh?

Misty:
Jessie:To protect the world from boring fashion,

Brock, James of Team Rocket:
James: To dress all people with flash and passion,

Misty:
To give all pokemon pretty faces,

Brock, James of Team Rocket:
To extend our art to outer-spaces,

Misty:
Jessie!

Brock, James of Team Rocket:
James!

Misty:
Salon Rocket, when it comes to chic we know what's right,

Brock, James of Team Rocket:
Surrender your taste or prepare to fight!

Narrator:

Professor Oak? Where's my Pok?mon?

Professor Samuel Oak:
Your Pok?mon?

Ash Ketchum:
Yeah. I'm ready.

Professor Samuel Oak:
You look more like you're ready for bed, not for Pok?mon training. I hope you're not going to train in your pajamas.

Ash Ketchum:
Hey, get out of there! [Rattata runs away from his backpack]

Pok?dex:
A forest Pok?mon - Rattata. It likes cheese, nuts, fruits and berries.

Ash Ketchum:
Yeah, but this isn't a forest, it's an open field.

Pok?dex:
It also comes out in open fields to steal food from stupid travelers.

Ash Ketchum:
So that means I'm stupid?

Pikachu:
[laughs] Pika... Pika!

Misty:
Are you okay?

Ash Ketchum:
Yeah, I'm fine...

Misty:
[walks up to Pikachu] I meant your Pok?mon!

Ash Ketchum:
[looks at the sky and sees Ho-oh] I wonder what that is?

Pok?dex:
There is no data. There are still Pok?mon yet to be identified.

[after almost all Gligar left the city]

Nurse Joy:
[sighs] What a relief.

Officer Jenny:
Now we can finally relax.

[Just then, the Gligar flies on-screen]

Gligar:
Gli.

[winks and licks her lips affectionately]

Gligar:
Gligar!

Ash Ketchum:
Not again!

[he and Pikachu gasp before Gligar lands on him and starts struggling]

Ash Ketchum:
Hey! Where'd you learn how to fly?'!

Dawn:
[drags Gligar off of Ash] Why didn't you go with your friends?

Gligar:
[winks and licks her lips affectionately] Gli.

Brock:
I'll tell you what I think! Gligar likes Ash!

[Dawn is confused, while Ash is dumbstruck]

Gligar:
[smiling] Gligar.

[When Turtwig's Energy Ball missed Team Rocket]

Brock:
The distance is there...

Dawn:
But the control isn't!

[after Turtwig's Energy Ball successfully destroyed Team Rocket's balloon]

Jessie:
[to Meowth] I wanted to net Gligar, not YOU!

Meowth:
I guess it's back ta scrounging for our own sandwiches.

James:
And consistently empty stomachs translate into just one thing...

Jessie, Meowth, James:
We're blasting off again!

Wobbuffet:
Wobbuffet!

[as usual, a star appears in the sky]

Jesse:
Hey, twerp! Listen up kid, we're on your side this time, so you better dunk that skunk!

Brock:
James: Use some spunk and leave him sunk!

Meowth:
Who woulda ever thunk that we'd be rooting for that little punk?

Jessie:
[in their sub] Hmmm, I wonder what a TV crew could be doing with those twerps on that island?

James of Team Rocket:
Just because you're wondering doesn't mean you should stop pedaling!

James of Team Rocket:
[falling off a cliff while on a giant boulder] This is gonna hurt!

Jesse:
Snow, snow, I love it so!

James:
Meowth! Why are you eating out of that priceless piece of pottery?'!

Meowth:
It makes the chow taste better.

Meowth:
[Chimchar comes out of the bushes and sees Meowth] Hey Chimchar

Chimchar:
[Angrily] Chimchar

Meowth:
Now who would want to battle on a moonlit night like tonight? I'm assuming that you can't sleep because you had a bad dream? Bad dreams can really bring you down. Chimmy dig it! Focus on the here and now. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. [Walking away] You've got pals that would give you the shirts off their backs if you needed it.

Chimchar:
[Confused and wraps its arms around Ash's neck] Chimchar... CHIMCHARRRRR! CHIMCHARRRRR!

Ash Ketchum:
What's wrong? Everyone thinks you're great. [Picking Chimchar up] You have some pretty strong attacks. And you did great against an opponant that wasn't a good match for you.

Brock:
Yeah your combinations of attacks are great.

Dawn:
Yeah and your flamethrower rocks!

Piplup:
Piplup Piplup!

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar! You're going to be just fine.

Dawn:
Who knew? About Chimchar's softer side I mean.

Brock:
Sometimes it's good to let it all out. Chimchar wasn't allowed to show any emotions around Paul.

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar.

Ash Ketchum:
What the?

Chimchar:
Chimchar? CHIMCHAR! [Chimchar crosses its arms and closes its eyes]

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar GO! Huh? Oh that's right. You're scared because were attacked by a bunch of Zangoose before right? Chimchar I know how wierd and scary that time must have been for you back then but right now they're in trouble and you're the only one that can save them. Chimchar I know you can.

Chimchar:
Chimchar? [Jumping on Ash's shoulder] Okay!

Ash Ketchum:
Listen Chimchar don't worry about blaze. We don't need it. We won the tag battle without it right?

Chimchar:
Yeah!

Ash Ketchum:
You've got some really strong moves. Listen Chimchar you've got to believe in yourself and stay strong for all of us. Okay Chimchar let's give em a battle. Alright: Chimchar USE FLAME THROWER! [Chimchar attacks the Zangoose with flame thrower]

Chimchar:
CHIM... CHARRR! Chimchar?

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar DODGE IT AND USE SCRATCH!

Chimchar:
Chimchar?

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar BEHIND YOU! Oh! [Ash takes a Zangoose scratch in the shoulder] Chimchar are you okay? [Groaning]

Chimchar:
Chimchar?

Ash Ketchum:
Good! Okay Chimchar HURRY UP AND USE DIG!

Chimchar:
[Chimchar digs a hole in the ground to confuse the Zangoose. Chimchar comes up underneath the lead Zangoose and pushes it hard enough to knock it into the ground] CHIIMMMMM-CHARRR!

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar USE DIG ONE MORE TIME!

Chimchar:
Chimchar [Chimchar digs under the ground again and comes up behind the two remaining Zangoose] CHIIIMMMM-CHARRRR!

Ash Ketchum:
Alright! Flamethrower MAXIMUM POWER!

Chimchar:
CHIIIMMMM-CHARRR! [Chimchar uses a full power flame thrower to knock the two remaining Zangoose out cold]

Ash Ketchum:
Chimchar you were great! See? I told you you could do it?

Dawn:
Chimchar was amazing.

Brock:
And strong too.

Jessie:
[laughing] I never was any good at economics. [Seviper pops out of its pokeball] You too?

Meowth:
Uh-oh!

James:
Deja vu?

Meowth:
Sometimes instincts stink!

[the Zangoose run up the tree and pop Team Rocket's balloon. Leaving it to deflate and fall]

Jessie:
[With the whole of Team Rocket trying to hold Seviper back] CAN'T YOU GET OVER IT? [Getting inside the anti-escape capsules that Ash, Dawn, and Brock's pokemon are in]

James:
Hi there.

Meowth:
Don't forget I'm a pokemon too.

James:
[after Jessie and James' story of being former members of the bicycle gang has been revealed] I guess our secret past isn't so secret anymore.

Ash Ketchum:
I kinda wish it still was a secret.

James:
Want a burger and fries without trouble?

James:
If you're really hungry, make it double!

James:
To protect the world from hunger and thirst!

James:
Our food isn't bad, at least not the worst.

Jesse:
The Team Rocket restaurant: blast in for a bite!

Jesse, James:
We stay open all day, we stay open all night!

Misty:
[after discuusing the idea of Brock getting married] You and I will be married someday too...

Ash:
Mm-hmm... [suddenly turns to Misty and yells] HUH? [Misty turns her eyes to Ash nervously]

[Team Rocket interrupts a Pokemon play. Jesse is dressed like a pirate queen. James is dressed like a ballerina.]

James of Team Rocket:
Next time, let's steal men's clothes!

Misty:
[Psyduck has just taken a drink out of the lake, to cure his headache] Psyduck, *cold* water can make a headache even worse!

Psyduck:
[touches his head] Psyyy!

Misty:
Sometimes I just look at that Psyduck face and *I* get a headache!

Brock:
[Brock is grooming Vulpix on his lap] What beautiful hair! Susie's such a great breeder!

Misty:
[leans over to Brock] Hey Brock! How about a trade? That Vulpix for my Psyduck!

Brock:
No way!

Misty:
It wouldn't take much time to brush; because Psyduck only has... three hairs.

Psyduck:
Psyyy!

Ash Ketchum:
[the door opens and Venonat appears] Venonat? It's you! I'm gonna teach you a lesson! Come back! [Ash chases after Venonat; and then sees ninja stars flying at him out of nowhere and sticks him to the wall]

Misty, Brock:
Ash!

Misty:
Huh? Where is he?

Brock:
There must be another way out!

Misty:
Maybe it's just another trick.

Ash Ketchum:
[the wall turns around and Ash is stuck to the wall] Someone help me!

Aya:
[Ash, Misty and Brock hear cackling from out of nowhere as a girl drops down to the ground from nowhere] Born in darkness, living in darkness, such as the fate of the ninja. I am Aya, Ninja Warrior!

Misty:
[notices Aya's hair colour] But don't you think that colour is a little *bright* for a ninja?

Aya:
I don't need your fashion report! But tell me, didn't you enjoy my little star treatment?

Ash Ketchum:
You can't just chuck throwing stars around! It's dangerous!

Misty:
That's right! Tell her, Brock! Huh? [Misty sees Brock gaze at Aya, lovestruck]

Brock:
[lovestruck while gazing at Aya] I think that electric pink suits you perfectly; and you certainly look lovely! [Aya slaps Brock's hand, Misty and Ash groan in annoyance]

Aya:
[Aya groans and throws Brock to the ground] This is a training camp! It was *your* fault you let your guard down!

Ash Ketchum:
My "guard down?"

Aya:
I won't let you leave this mansion without having a Pok?mon battle with *me* first!

Venonat:
Venonat!

Ash Ketchum:
Oh! That thing!

Aya:
This Venonat informed me that three stupid-looking people had entered the mansion.

Venonat:
Venonat-veno!

Ash Ketchum:
For your information, we're not the stupid ones around here! I accept your challenge! [Ash reminds Aya he is still stuck to the wall with her ninja stars] Uh, but first, can you let me down from here? [Aya falls over and Misty groans]

Koga:
[Voltorb has just exploded, Ash, Misty and Brock cough, and Koga shows up out of nowhere] You've still got a lot to learn, Aya!

Aya:
[kneels down at Koga's feet] Honored brother, I have failed!

Brock:
[Brock scoots up to Koga] You're Aya's older brother? My name is Brock. You sure have a very nice sister, it's a pleasure to meet... [before Brock could finish, Misty hits his head with a hammer]

Misty:
This is no time to kiss up, Brock!

Jesse, Brock:
You know it's us Team Rocket and we fight for what is wrong, we're tired of our motto so we thought we'd try a song!

Jesse:
Jessie!

Brock:
James!

Jesse, Brock:
The speed of light prepare to fight!

Meowth:
Meowth, that's right!

Brock:
I am the handsome one!

Jesse:
I am the gorgeous one!

Jesse, Brock:
Looking good is a lot of fun, we get some things wrong, but we keep rolling along!

Meowth, Jesse, Brock:
We want to capture Pikachu, we hope to do it soon, and when we do we'll be the new, stars of this, cartoon!

Ash:
[Misty faces a horde of Electrode ready to explode] Don't worry, Misty. Just don't sneeze... or move around... or even breathe.

Misty:
[exasperated] Don't breathe? If I don't breathe, I'll croak!

James of Team Rocket:
[trying to catch a Voltorb with a giant claw] This thing is slipperier then a greased Gengar!

Ash Ketchum:
I'm tired and hungry.

Brock:
I'm exhausted and starving.

Jesse:
Misty: I'm fine and dandy!

Jesse:
[Team Rocket are surrounded by wild Onix] I think things are looking sort of rocky, don't you?

Brock:
James: These pokemon couldn't be boulder!

Meowth:
Maybe people take 'em for granite!

[as Ash is heading for the Straiton City Gym]

Iris:
[appears next to Ash] So tell me. Where's the gym?

Ash:
[startled] Whoa! Iris! The gym... let's see...

[stammering]

Ash:
I don't know.

Iris:
All ready to go, but you don't know where you're going, just like a kid.

Brock Harrison:
Ash may not be perfect, but when it comes to working with his Pok?mon, he's as good as the best!

Misty:
He sure is!

[Flying in their hot air balloon, Team Rocket cooks potatoes with the balloon's fire]

Jessie:
James, what's taking so long? Aren't those potatoes ready yet?

James:
Not yet, Jess.

Jessie:
Can't you hurry up a little?.

Meowth:
Hey, maybe they'll cook faster if we turn the fire higher.

James:
Great idea.

[Meowth turns the fire up which burns the balloon and they come crashing down]

Jessie:
That was a great idea!

Meowth:
Are the spuds done?

James:
Well done.

James:
Even my gloves hurt.

Jessie:
Whoever said that the twerp was bummed from losing his battle and would be an easy mark is an absolute buffoon. Lemme at that idiot.

Meowth:
YOU'RE dat idiot.

Jessie:
What?'!

James:
Something about going after "the weakest of the twerp herd."

Meowth:
Yeah, and also somethin' profound about pluckin' Pikachu while de iron is hot.

James, Meowth:
[eerily] That would be our loser, Jessie.

Jessie:
[gulps, then angrily starts shouting and pointing at the others] Don't you make this MY fault! You bunch of babies are in denial! And since you didn't stop me, it's YOUR fault!

[Once hearing the statement, James, Meowth, Seviper, Carnivine and Yanmega start protesting in a high-pitched voice]

Jessie:
[growls] I can't hear you!

[Team Rocket stops arguing and look behind them, only to notice Ash and his Pok?mon smirking confidently. In addition, all seven are partially shrouded with a glowing light]

Gliscor:
Gliscor!

Monferno:
Bui!

Grotle:
Monferno!

Staraptor:
Grotle!

Staraptor:
Staraptor!

Pikachu:
Pika!

Ash Ketchum:
Hmm...

[When Ash returns with his Pok?mon]

Dawn:
Ash, Brock just told us he saw it.

Ash Ketchum:
Saw "it"? Saw what?

[When Seviper used Haze to block the gang's visibility]

Jessie:
Smoke gets in your eyes!

Meowth:
We'll say our goodbyes!

[after Grotle and Staraptor defeated Yanmega and Carnivine, respectively]

Ash Ketchum:
It's time to finish this thing up! Monferno, Mach Punch!

[Cue Monferno rapidly firing several Mach Punches like a Bullet Seed attack, knocking Team Rocket over and making Meowth release the net containing Pikachu]

Dawn:
That was AMAZING!

Brock:
Monferno's become a real powerhouse since it evolved.

Pikachu:
[falls out of the net] Pi...

[relieved]

Pikachu:
Pika, Pi!

[unhesitatingly runs to his friends]

Ash Ketchum:
[laughs] Pikachu!

Pikachu:
Pikachu, Pika, Pika!

[last lines]

Narrator:
[voice-over] And so, Ash advances to round four: the quarter-finals, where our battle with Paul promises some red-hot excitement, so stay tuned for two longtime rivals going head to head.

[later]

Ash Ketchum:
I got Buizel, Professor.

Prof. Oak:
Good. Noctowl and the others are all in good hands. So, waiting for your third Pok?mon for tomorrow?

Ash Ketchum:
Right. It should be here any minute now.

Piplup:
Pip, Piplup.

Dawn:
[enters the Pok?mon Center] Hey, Ash, it's here!

Ash Ketchum:
Really?

Pikachu:
Pika?

[Dawn and Ash head outside at night, where Brock is waiting for them]

Brock:
Ash!

[points at something off-screen]

Brock:
Look!

[Ash and Dawn look at the moon and notice a shadow heading for them, much to Pikachu's and Ash's amazement]

Ash Ketchum:
I've been waiting. Gliscor!

Gliscor:
[eagerly licks its chops] Gli.
