Ragged Isle

Agent Allison Thorne:
Nobody has a job to do on this island unless I give the word. This is a matter of national security.

Sheriff Dalton:
Yeah. Ragged Isle has always been a high-profile terrorist target. Control the lobster, control the world.

Agent Allison Thorne:
You don't want to butt heads with me, Sheriff. I have the hardest head in the room.

[to Vicki]

Vance Trundle:
You're a good man, Sister.

Agent Allison Thorne:
Dd you authorize him to move the body?

Vicki Burke:
[introducing himself] Sheriff Dalton. This is my island.

Agent Allison Thorne:
Oh? Well, has it ever occured to you, Sheriff Dalton, that your island might be a perfect place t test a biological weapon? Small population, controlled borders... This could be a dry run for a major terrorist event.

Vicki Burke:
That had occurred to me. That's not what's going on.

[first lines]

Vicki Burke:
[voiceover] My name is Vicki Burke. We are reaching the end of this nightmare. The mysteries, along with too many of those we love, have been lost in the wake. All that is left to do now is reclaim Ragged Isle... or die trying.

[first lines]

Vicki Burke:
The setting sun is a gentle reminder that time stands still for no one on Ragged Isle. Some may not realise just how soon their time will run out... or if, in fact, it already has.

Agent Allison Thorne:
[to Agent Griggs] I'll tell you something about me. I don't know if you know it or not. I *love* to be lied to. I love it. This is a great job for me because people lie to me all the time and I can always, always, tell when someone's lying.

Agent Allison Thorne:
Okay, but here's what I hate. I hate it when I don't understand why someone is lying. Vance Trundle and Rose Fuller both lied to me today and I don't understand why either would have any reason to. I don't like things I don't understand. They make me angry. Which, I guess, brings me to you, Briggs.

Sheriff Dalton:
I wish I had a time machine to jump to a time when I didn't feel like this. I remember how I used to feel.

Dr. Brian Hoffman:
You will eventually. One day you'll wake up and realize you don't feel so horrible any more. Then you'll feel bad about that - about not feeling horrible... but that'll be the day that you know everything can get better.

[last lines]

Trevor Stebbins:
Thanks for coming back. I know its late.

Dr. Gail Monroe:
Of course.

Trevor Stebbins:
She passed away about an hour ago.

Dr. Gail Monroe:
Oh, I doubt that very much.

Trevor Stebbins:
Sorry?

Dr. Gail Monroe:
You will be.

[Dr. Monroe draws the blade from her sword cane]

[to Gertie Kendrick who is dying from cancer]

Rose Fuller:
Think about what could be lost if you were to die. You wre there when Verrazzano landed. You saw Fernando himself search for treasure, helped Champlain map the coast of Maine, heard the first cannons of the Revolutionary War. You didn't read those things in history books - you lived them! That's why people read your books. That's why they're so authentic. No one else could do that.

Sheriff Dalton:
Give me your opinion, Doc. What the hell do you think is happening here?

Dr. Brian Hoffman:
I'll be honest with you, Sheriff. Ninety nine point nine nine percent of the strange things I look into as part of my hobby turn out to be perfectly mundance - lies, hoaxes, local legends. I've developed a very skeptical gut when it comes to unexplained mysteries.

Sheriff Dalton:
What is your gut telling you is happening this time?

Dr. Brian Hoffman:
My gut is telling me that what you have here is one of the point zero one percent.

[indicating the wall Vickie has covered with newspaper clippings]

Eric Burke:
What's all this, Vick?

Vicki Burke:
When you put it altogether, it's so obvious. I can't believe that no one ever saw this before.

Eric Burke:
Saw what?

Vicki Burke:
Ragged Isle's biggest secret.

Agent Allison Thorne:
So tell me something, Deputy Thierrien...

Deputy Dan Therrien:
Deputy Dan.

Agent Allison Thorne:
Excuse me?

Deputy Dan Therrien:
It's what they... everybody calls me - Deputy Dan.

Agent Allison Thorne:
Cute. What is this Sesame Street?

Agent Allison Thorne:
This is some island you've got here.

Deputy Dan Therrien:
I'm not a native - more of an adopted son.

Dr. Gail Monroe:
How are we feeling today?

Gertie Kendrick:
Like I'm dying.

[last lines]

[the town librarian has convinced Paul to sail with her to the spot offshore where the first mysterious deaths took place]

Vicki Burke:
Do you trust her?

Paul Soucey:
No.

Not yet, but we're not through with him. Get him out of here now! The sheriff's on his way.

Vance Trundle:
[referring to Vicki] What about the girl?

Colleen Drake:
[chuckling] You're going to need a new protege.

[first lines]

[flashback sequence]

Emma Dobson:
But you're done with all this, right? No more! We can have a life together, a normal life, for the sake of the...

George Bridges:
The others. They'll never allow it. We *have* to get away - leave the island. Tonight!

Emma Dobson:
Tonight?

[Emma and George jump with fright as a door is broken down]

Vicki Burke:
[narrating] As night settles in on Ragged Isle, danger and revenge were in the air. Despite obvious peril, guilt drags some to journey back to the very place where this nightmare is thought to have begun.

[Colleen has lured Paul to spot offshore where the first mysterious deaths occurred]

Colleen Drake:
I'm going to ask you a question and I want you to answer me truthfully and directly. Who... is... he... now?

Paul Soucey:
Huh?

Colleen Drake:
I'm going to ask you one more time and you're going to answer me or you're going back to the shore lashed to the keel. Who is he right now!

Paul Soucey:
I don't know.

Colleen Drake:
[grabbing Paul by his sweatshirt] All right, Paul. Let's go for a dip.
