That Mitchell and Webb Look

That Mitchell and Webb Look is a British sketch comedy television show starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb. As well as Mitchell and Webb themselves, the writers include Jesse Armstrong, James Bachman, Sam Bain, Mark Evans, Olivia Colman, Joel Morris, John Finnemore, and others. It is produced by Gareth Edwards. Colman, Bachman, and Evans were also members of the cast, alongside Gus Brown, Sarah Hadland, and Paterson Joseph. The first two series were directed by David Kerr, and the third and fourth series were directed by Ben Gosling Fuller. Many of its characters and sketches were first featured in the duo's radio show That Mitchell and Webb Sound. First aired on 14 September 2006, a second series was commissioned later that same year and shown between 21 February and 27 March 2008. The third series began on 11 June 2009. Since the second series, the production has also been broadcast on BBC HD. The first series won a BAFTA award in 2007. The third series started airing on BBC America on 14 April 2010. The fourth series premiered on BBC Two and BBC HD on 13 July 2010 with a total of six episodes commissioned by the BBC. In a November 2011 interview, Webb stated that there are no plans for another series and added that "you'd have to ask the BBC" about further series.

Caroline:
And pray Miss Bennet what do you call this quaint country dance

Elizabeth:
we call it the conga Miss Bingley. I suppose you have not heard of it.

Caroline:
Do you hear that Mr Darcy? Ms. Bennett chides us for our ignorance of local customs.

Elizabeth:
I certainly do not mean to chide, but I confess myself surprised by Mr.Darcy's behaviour.

Caroline:
Ms.Bennett you astound me! What could there be in the behaviour of poor Mr Darcy that provokes such hasty slander?

Elizabeth:
Forgive my impertinence, I merely wish to observe that Mr Darcy refuses to partake of the Conga, yet gentlemen are scarce, and there are plainly several young ladies left wholly out of the Conga.

Caroline:
But what in heavens does this to do with Mr. Darcy

Darcy:
It's meant to go boy, girl, boy, girl. You are right Ms. Bennett, perhaps I am too hard. It is only in defence of my rank that I feel bound to abstain. A Gentleman does not Conga.

Elizabeth:
I would be loathe to make a habit of contradicting you sir, but my father is a gentleman and he Congas with the best of them. Perhaps it is not simply the Conga but all manner of dance that you consider beneath your station.

Darcy:
Indeed not Ms. Bennett but you must allow that the only dance my position could possibly support is that of free-style disco.

Caroline:
Will you not, Ms Bennett that Mr Darcy has been free-style disco champion of all Darvishire these last dozen years?

Elizabeth:
I confess I did not know.

Caroline:
In faith, what would appear to be the summation of all that you do not know, Ms. Bennett, would make for quite a...

Darcy:
Oh Caroline would you please SHUT THE F*** UP!

Elizabeth:
Perhaps, Mr. Darcy you would be kind enough to favor us with a brief exhibition of your freestyle disco prowess?

Darcy:
I see that it has been forced upon me from the start. I assure you it gives me no pleasure!
