Barry Allen:
My name is Barry Allen and I'm the fastest man alive. A friend recently gave me the idea for a new name and something tells me it's gonna catch on.

Barry Allen:
My name is Barry Allen, and I'm the fastest man alive. When I was a child, I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I'm just an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me, and one day I'll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. I am the Flash.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
What exactly are we waiting for, Ms. Smoak?

Felicity Smoak:
Up there.

Caitlin Snow:
Is that a bird?

Cisco Ramon:
It's a plane.

Felicity Smoak:
It's my boyfriend.

Ray Palmer:
Hi. I'm Ray.

Ray Palmer:
Ah, well, my ears popped, so that's something.

Caitlin Snow:
You're lucky you didn't break your neck. What is it with billionaires being superheroes?

Cisco Ramon:
So have you... picked a name yet?

Ray Palmer:
Uh... I'm kinda partial to The Atom. Shoo.

Cisco Ramon:
Are you married to that, or...?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Any friend of The Arrow's is a friend of...

Cisco Ramon:
Hell, yes.

Barry Allen:
Uh, guys. We kind of have a lot going on already. There's a meta-human killer that can control a whole swarm of bees?

Ray Palmer:
Cool. I mean, awful.

Felicity Smoak:
What is wrong with you? Is everyone in Central City in a bad mood? I thought Central City was supposed to be the fun one.

Barry Allen:
Another bee attack. Folston Tech.

Eddie Thawne:
I'll see where Joe is.

Felicity Smoak:
Bee careful.

Barry Allen:
For real?

Felicity Smoak:
Bad pun, Sorry. Just don't die.

Felicity Smoak:
It is so fun to watch grown men play with their toys.

Caitlin Snow:
You're so lucky. Ray's so nice and smart and hot.

Felicity Smoak:
Yeah, it's kind of like I'm dating Barry but in Oliver's body. A sentence you will never repeat to anyone.

Brie Larvan:
Hello, Dr. McGee. You gonna open a window, or should I buzz myself in?

Cisco Ramon:
We need to stop this bug-eyed glasses woman.

Ray Palmer:
And her mini bandits.

Cisco Ramon, Ray Palmer:

Cisco Ramon:

[high fives Ray in The Atom suit, groans]

Ray Palmer:

Cisco Ramon:

Ray Palmer:
Sorry.

Felicity Smoak:
Boom. Drop the mic. It's metaphorical, of course, because we don't have a real mic.

Dr. Tina McGee:
15 years ago, Harrison and I were thick as thieves. We were promising young scientists in Starling City. He was such a kind man. Then everything changed after Tess died.

Barry Allen:
They were gonna get married?

Dr. Tina McGee:
I understand how grief can affect something, but this was more than that. This was like, after that day, Harrison Wells became a completely different person.

Caitlin Snow:
I don't understand. What do Dr. Wells and The Reverse-Flash have to do with each other?

Barry Allen:
Um... They're the same person.

Caitlin Snow:
That's impossible.

Barry Allen:
Look, Caitlyn, it took me a long time too, but it's him.

Caitlin Snow:
Dr. Wells is a speedster? He's paralyzed.

Detective Joe West:
Is he, though?

Caitlin Snow:
And why would he kill Barry's mother? It doesn't make any sense. Cisco. Say something.

Cisco Ramon:
I've been having these dreams. Mostly at night, but sometimes during the day. But they don't feel like dreams. They... they feel real.

Barry Allen:
What happens in the dream?

Cisco Ramon:
Dr. Wells is The Reverse-Flash. And... he kills me.

Felicity Smoak:
Bee-ee careful !

Barry Allen:
For real ?

Cisco Ramon:
[Bees, why did it have to be bees?]

Felicity Smoak:
She's good. She's like my nemesis. I've never had a nemesis before. I kinda like it.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Your ATOM suit. Quite the tautological achievement, Mr. Palmer. I'm impressed.

Caitlin Snow:
He is never impressed.

Ray Palmer:
Well, thank you. But I can't quite seem to keep it up.

Felicity Smoak:
He means the suit.

Ray Palmer:
Yeah, I mean the suit.

Felicity Smoak:
Yeah, I can attest that everything else works just fine. There's nothing we need to fix in *that* area.

Ray Palmer:
No no, the sex is great!

Caitlin Snow:
God, there's two of them.

Joe West:
Well, I'm her father.

Eddie Thawne:
And I'm her boyfriend.

Eddie Thawne:
When does my vote outweigh yours?

Joe West:
When you become her husband.

Eddie Thawne:
Eddie is abashed and walks away.

Cisco Ramon:
That was insane. I mean, I'm even having a hard time getting mad at you for dirtying up my suit.

Barry Allen:
Okay, when are we gonna start considering it my suit?

Cisco Ramon:
I'd be more comfortable calling it our suit.

Barry Allen:
"Our" suit.

Cisco Ramon:
[to Hartley] How can you speak six languages and sound like a dick in every one of them?

Caitlin Snow:
Cisco says I don't have a life.

Barry Allen:
You don't, do you?

Caitlin Snow:
I do! I cook and I eat and I read and I help you.

Barry Allen:
So what you saying is, you do everything that has nothing to do with having a life.

Caitlin Snow:
You don't have to be rude about it.

Barry Allen:
Hey, I'm not doing any better than you. My social life consists of running at superhuman speed and Netflix.

Caitlin Snow:
We are quite the pair, Mr. Allen.

Barry Allen:
Yes we are, Dr. Snow.

Barry Allen:
Every time I got close, she'd disappear. It was like we were playing a game of...

Caitlin Snow:
Peek-a-Boo. Come on. Can't I name one?

Barry Allen:
What is wrong with us? I mean, we're in our 20s. We should be having fun. We should meet people, go on lots of dates.

Caitlin Snow:
Well, here's to liquid courage.

[drinks up]

Barry Allen:
Uh... that... is... very fast.

Caitlin Snow:
Let's just say I envy your inability to get drunk. I don't remember much from last night.

Barry Allen:
Hey, that's probably for the best.

[sings Summer Nights]

Caitlin Snow:
Oh, God. That I do remember.

Barry Allen:
Dad. If I was The Flash, don't you think that you'd be the first to know about it?

Henry Allen:
Yeah. Well, if The Flash were my son, I'd tell him a few things. First off, I'd tell him it's a dangerous world, so be careful. Then I'd tell him he's a hero. And he's saving a lot of lives. But the most important thing for him to know, I feel, is that his father's proud of him.

Hartley Rathaway:

Cisco Ramon:

Caitlin Snow:
You're fast and you can sing? What can't you do?

Barry Allen:
Stop you from drinking, apparently.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Before I left Earth-2, I worked on a serum to dampen Zoom's speed. All we would need is for Ramon to develop a weapon to deliver it.

Caitlin Snow:
Oh, great, that could be this year's cold gun. Maybe another criminal can get it, and then we'd have Sergeant Slow.

Cisco Ramon:
I would never let that happen. Sergeant Slow is a terrible name.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Shouldn't you be at school?

Jesse Wells:
I graduated high school when I was 15, Dad.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Right.

Jesse Wells:
Can miss a day of college.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Ah, that's my Jess, always so quick.

Linda Park:
Holy crap. I've made out with The Flash.

Zoom:
You like to fish with bait. I do too.

The Flash:
Did you guys see that?

Cisco Ramon:
Can he catch a bolt of lightning with his demonic claws? Yeah, saw that.

The Flash:
What do you want from me?

Zoom:
Everything.

The Flash:
You want to beat me? Is that it? You want to be a hero?

Zoom:
Heroes die.

The Flash:
Only if you can catch them.

Zoom:
Never forget I am the fastest man alive.

Zoom:
Look at your hero. This man is no god. He is nothing!

Zoom:
The days of The Flash protecting the city are over. Now what will you do without your precious hero?

Zoom:
Harrison Wells, you thought you could defeat me with this?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I made a mistake.

Zoom:
Yes, a costly one. Goodbye, Flash. You, too, weren't fast enough.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
You're my joy, Jesse Quick.

Barry Allen:
How are we doing with the speed-dampener?

Caitlin Snow:
I think we isolated with the composite.

Cisco Ramon:
And we're modifying the dart The Arrow used to take down Wells.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
He's not Wells. I'm Wells.

Cisco Ramon:
Whatever, Harry.

Barry Allen:
Aren't you the one who told me life isn't about playing defense, sometimes the only way to succeed is by working the offense?

Joe West:
I think at the time we were talking about your high school football tryouts.

Barry Allen:
You said you'd never bring that up again.

Bartholomew Allen:
[to Iris] I'm sorry. He got frisky with you? No, no, no, no, no. Okay, I'm gonna have to find this guy and give him a piece of my mind.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Your husband tells us you've been tracking Zoom.

Iris West-Allen:
Yeah. I've been trying to. Why?

Cisco Ramon:
We need to find his lair.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Lair?

Cisco Ramon:
He's a bad guy; I'm calling it a lair.

Killer Frost:
You really don't know how to use your abilities, do you, breacher?

Cisco Ramon:
It's a work in progress, Elsa.

Geomancer:
I like to watch heroes fall and never get back up.

Caitlin Snow:
He always gets back up.

Geomancer:
Hard to do that when the Earth swallows you whole.

Bartholomew Allen:
We're going up there?

Killer Frost:
That's where Zoom's lair is.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
The only place a speedster can get to.

Cisco Ramon:
It's like the Cliffs of Insanity. So how do we get up there?

Killer Frost:
I can make something for you to climb on, darling.

Bartholomew Allen:
Are you serious? You want us to - what, just climb to the top of those cliffs - on ice?

Killer Frost:
Got any better ideas?

Bartholomew Allen:
No, ma'am, I'm just, you know, I - I've got - you know, I'm wearing wingtips here. They, um, they don't have much tread.

Bartholomew Allen:
I'm just Barry Allen, but you're The Flash.

Barry Allen:
We're gonna get out of here. Your dad's gonna find us, I promise.

Jesse Wells:
You sure have a lot of faith in a man who only cares about himself.

Barry Allen:
You know, I actually thought that at first, too. It's not true. Every decision that he's made, every action he's taken since we've met has been to save you. Your dad hasn't given up on you, Jesse. Don't give up on him.

Barry Allen:
You may not have been struck by lightning like I was, but you risked your life to save someone you didn't even know. That's a hero, Barry.

Barry Allen:
You know, your dad, who I'm pretty sure is one of the smartest people to live on either of our Earths, told me the only person smarter than him was you.

Jesse Wells:
He said that?

Barry Allen:
[nods] If that's true, we work together, I know we can figure this out.

Cisco Ramon:
Hey? You gonna miss being able to fly?

Ronnie Raymond:
Yeah, maybe if I was the one holding the controller.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Meaning?

Ronnie Raymond:
Meaning you weren't the most conscientiousness body-mate.

Dr. Martin Stein:
So you do not consider keeping you alive to be conscientiousness?

Ronnie Raymond:
Alive? We were living under a bridge eating garbage.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I did not determine that it would be my mind that would dominate our existence, but thank God it was. I could feel your fear and panic, emotions that could have gotten us killed in that state.

Ronnie Raymond:
You kept me buried down. You kept me from her.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Which is likely why she's still alive. Now I believe that you and I have spent quite enough time together.

Clarissa Stein:
Well, after a year apart, I'm not letting him out of my sight. S.T.A.R. Labs did quite a few tests on Martin, didn't they - and they said he was fine?

Barry Allen:
Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?

Clarissa Stein:
He just seems a little different.

Barry Allen:
Different how?

Clarissa Stein:
He's been asking for pizza. Martin despises pizza.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
You need to hurry, Barry's wounds are starting to heal with the fragments still under his skin.

Cisco Ramon:
This is just like the time I stepped on a sea urchin. Only much worse.

Barry Allen:
Just don't pee on me.

Cisco Ramon:
Uh, you know that's a myth, right?

Caitlin Snow:
Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta - all your brain waves are perfectly in sync. The chances of that happening are next to impossible.

Barry Allen:
Impossible is just another Tuesday for us, remember?

Cisco Ramon:
Yeah, but this is like some Twilight Zone level stuff. And I say that knowing full well that we have a guy locked up in our basement who can turn himself into poison gas.

Ronnie Raymond:
Wait, really?

Cisco Ramon:
Dude, that was like week three.

Caitlin Snow:
It's okay. I understand you have to go.

Ronnie Raymond:
How'd you know?

Caitlin Snow:
I'm connected to you too.

Caitlin Snow:
I had Ronnie, and then I lost him. Then I found him again, but he wasn't actually Ronnie. Then I got him back bust just for a day until I lost him again.

Cisco Ramon:
You guys are like 10 seasons of Ross and Rachel, but just, like, smushed into one year.

General Wade Eiling:
Harrison... You're one of them. A meta-human.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Yes, I am. And I protect my own.

[a growl is heard in the sewer]

General Wade Eiling:
What was that?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Now, that... is an old friend of ours.

Gorilla Grodd:
General...

General Wade Eiling:
That... voice... It's in my head. Dear God.

Gorilla Grodd:
Not God. Grodd.

[Grodd attacks General Eiling]

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Acceptance is a powerful thing.

Jay Garrick:
Zoom uses the breaches. Why can't we?

Cisco Ramon:
We don't know how. Everything I put through just bounces back.

Barry Allen:
If Zoom's using these breaches to transport people from Earth Two, maybe it takes a speedster.

Cisco Ramon:
He's not gonna...

Jay Garrick:
Yeah, he is.

[Barry super-speeds into the breach and he bounces off]

Barry Allen:
Maybe I'm not fast enough.

Jay Garrick:
We need to think of the breach as a door, and on Earth Two, there's another door. In between, we have a hallway, but the hallway's constantly shifting, twisting, collapsing upon itself.

Barry Allen:
And the doors keep moving with it.

Cisco Ramon:
So we stabilize the door, we stabilize the hallway.

Barry Allen:
And then I can jump through it.

Jay Garrick:
Exactly, it would serve as a kind of cannon. A speed cannon.

Cisco Ramon:
Mm. We should hang out more.

Francine West:
You're wearing your wedding ring.

Detective Joe West:
Divorced men take them off. Widowers don't. I need you to leave town.

Francine West:
And you thought you could pay me to walk away from my own daughter?

Detective Joe West:
Last time, you walked away for free.

Francine West:
No amount of money is gonna keep me away from Iris.

Lisa Snart:
I need your help.

Cisco Ramon:
In your dreams, Sister Cold. You know I could call The Flash. He'd be here in like two seconds - probably one.

Detective Joe West:
The victim is David Rutenberg, security systems expert, and guess who's on his list of known associates.

Barry Allen:
Hmm?

Detective Joe West:
Lewis Snart.

Patty Spivot:
Isn't he related to Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold?

Detective Joe West:
Please don't call him that.

Lewis Snart:
You're working with The Flash? I thought you hated him?

Leonard Snart:
Not as much as I... hate you.

The Flash:
Lisa was safe. Why did you do that?

Leonard Snart:
He broke my sister's heart. Only fair I break his.

Barry Allen:
We're gonna need something else too.

Cisco Ramon:
Really? And what's that? 'Cause I don't know about you guys, but I'm not at all interested in helping you get yourself killed.

Barry Allen:
I need you to build a time machine.

Cisco Ramon:
Go on.

Barry Allen:

Barry Allen:
I'm not sure where to start... Thawne. That is your real name - Eobard Thawne.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Since the day I was born.

Barry Allen:
And when was that?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
136 years from now. That's not what you want to know. Go ahead, Barry. Ask it.

Barry Allen:
Why did you kill my mother?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Because I hate you. Not you know. You years from now.

Barry Allen:
In the future.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
In a future. Yes. We're enemies, rivals, opposites, reverses of one another.

Barry Allen:
Why? Wh-why were we enemies?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
It doesn't matter. It doesn't... matter anymore. What matters is that neither of us was strong enough to defeat the other. Until I learned your secret. I learned your name. Barry Allen. And finally, I knew how to defeat you once and for all. Travel back in time, kill you as a child. Wipe you from the face of the earth. But then you, future you, that is, followed me back, and we fought. We both landed some pretty solid shots. And then you, future you, got your younger self out of there. I was so mad. But then I thought... what if you were to suffer a tragedy? What if you were to suffer something so horrible, so traumatic that your child self could never recover? Then you would not become The Flash. And so I stabbed your mother in the heart, and I was free. Finally able to return to a future without The Flash, only to realize that in traveling back I'd lost my way home. Lost my ability to harness the speed force. And without it, I was stuck here. Stranded in this time, unable to return to my own. And the only back was The Flash. But The Flash was gone, and so I created him.

Barry Allen:
Why train me? Why help me save so many people?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Because I needed you to get fast. Fast enough to rupture the space-time barrier and create a stable wormhole through I could return home.

Barry Allen:
Why would I ever do that?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Because Barry Allen, if you give me what I want, I'm gonna give you what you want. You can go back and save your mother. You can prevent your father from going to prison. You can reunite the Allen family.

Barry Allen:
No. No, I don't believe you. I want to kill you right now.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I know that rage. I used to feel that rage every time I looked upon you. And now, somehow, I know that Joe and Henry feel when they look on you with pride. With love.

Barry Allen:
No. No. Don't you ever say that to me!

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I know you're upset, but I'm giving you a chance. I'm giving you a chance to undo all the evil I've done. Don't you want that chance?

Barry Allen:
So if I go back and save my mom, my dad doesn't go to prison. I never live with Joe and Iris.

Cisco Ramon:
You might never have met me. Or Caitlin or Ronnie.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Truth is, there's no real way of knowing what your life will be.

Joe West:
There's no choice here, Barry. You have to do this. You gotta change the past.

Joe West:
Barry, you get the chance to grow up with both parents. You don't have to grow up without a mother.

Barry Allen:
What about growing up with a father?

Joe West:
You will have a father - your real father. Wells has messed with our lives long enough. This is why you became The Flash, Barry. To put things right. You saved a lot of people's lives this past year. Now it's time to save yours.

Iris West:
So are you gonna do it?

Barry Allen:
It's just so... huge. It's the biggest decision of my life, and if I'm wrong, I can't undo it.

Iris West:
Why would you want to? I mean, you'd get to see your mom again, your dad, have a great career, even get married. Iris West-Allen, huh? I never really thought of myself as a hyphenator. Must be a 2024 thing.

Dr. Martin Stein:
According to Well's calculations, Barry super-speeds inside the accelerator ring. Once Barry reaches optimum speed, we then launch a hydrogen proton into the accelerator. Once the collision happens, a wormhole forms, opening a gateway into time itself. It's at that moment I plan on shouting something along the lines of "Eureka" or possibly "Excelsior." I'm uncommitted.

Barry Allen:
What do you think?

Cisco Ramon:
[sighs] I mean, on the one hand, it does make a kind of sense. On the other hand, why? Why, why would you ever consider doing this?

Dr. Martin Stein:
We're dealing with a lot of big scientific ideas today. But you, Mr. Thawne, might be the most interesting thing here at S.T.A.R. Labs.

Eddie Thawne:
Me?

Dr. Martin Stein:
What are the odds that Dr. Wells would travel back in time and get stuck in the exact same city as his great-great-great-great grandfather? Working in the same profession, the same building? And that part of his plan to get home would mean that he'd have to preserve and protect your life. That makes you this rare thing that no scientist can plan for.

Eddie Thawne:
Which is?

Dr. Martin Stein:
Coincidence. There is no science to coincidence. You, sir, are an anomaly. A wild card, as it were. You are the only person in this whole story who gets to choose his own future. At least, that's my opinion.

Dr. Martin Stein:
The calculations. There is a danger.

Barry Allen:
I know. I'm ready to take the risk.

Dr. Martin Stein:
No, not just you, but to everyone. Wells didn't tell us everyone. Barry, even if you do reach the right speed, colliding with the hydrogen particle, there is a chance that explosion could create a singularity.

Caitlin Snow:
What's a singularity?

Cisco Ramon:
A black hole.

Barry Allen:
We could destroy Central City.

Dr. Martin Stein:
For starters. If we create a singularity here and then cannot control it, we could be looking at a global catastrophe.

Cisco Ramon:
So long and thanks for all the fish.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
[looking at the Time Sphere] It's beautiful. Rip Hunter would be impressed. He built the first one of these. Interesting man.

[the wormhole spits out a silver helmet with gold wings]

Joe West:
Now what the hell is that?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
That's my cue to leave. Thank you, Cisco.

Cisco Ramon:
Don't ever come back.

Eobard Thawne:
[last words] I've controlled your life for so long, Barry. How will you get along without me?

[vanishes]

Reverse-Flash:
Just so we're clear, after I kill you, I'm going to kill them. And then I'm going to kill your father. I always win, Flash.

[gunshot fires, Eddie has shot himself]

Joe West:
Eddie! What did you do? What did you do? What did you do?

Eddie Thawne:
No such thing as a coincidence.

Barry Allen:
What's happening?

Reverse-Flash:
Cisco, help me.

Cisco Ramon:
Eddie's his ancestor. If Eddie dies, he'll never been born, and... He's being erased from existence.

Reverse-Flash:
You didn't save her? Why? WHY? You could have had the life you wanted. You could have had everything you ever wanted!

Barry Allen:
I already do.

Reverse-Flash:
[pause] Not for long.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I work better alone.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Oh, no, haven't you heard the expression "two heads are better than one"?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
No.

Iris West:
I want you to stop holding the races.

Clark Bronwen:
[chuckles] Sweetheart, unless you could find me another way to make five grand a night, it ain't gonna happen.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
[reading the report Barry gives him] This... who wrote this?

Barry Allen:
You did. Yeah, the other you. Evil, not stupid.

Wally West:
I don't need a big sister.

Iris West:
I know, you're gonna need an undertaker.

Barry Allen:
[about Wally] Yeah, but he just found the best dad he could wish for.

Joe West:
Oh, you say that now, you didn't always think that.

Barry Allen:
Well, you were pretty strict. That's for sure. But strict isn't always a bad thing, especially when you know it's coming from love.

Cisco Ramon:
So, you can sink up all social media postings on all meta-human activity. Somebody sees something cray in Central City, I get an alert about it.

Barry Allen:
Yo, man, you have too much time on your hands.

Cisco Ramon:
Oh, I thought you were gonna say it was cool.

Barry Allen:
Wait, so, if that app gives you eyes and ears all over the city, then why don't you use it to find the next Ms. Right?

Cisco Ramon:
Did I just make the meta-human Tinder?

Barry Allen:
Mm-hmm.

Cisco Ramon:
Nope, not starting that fetish.

Cisco Ramon:
The guy was fossilized.

Barry Allen:
Whoa. So whoever killed him is like a walking...

Cisco Ramon, Barry Allen:
Tar pit.

Cisco Ramon:
Mm, too slow. It's okay.

Cisco Ramon:
And there it is. Who's the best hacker in the world, people?

Barry Allen, Caitlin Snow:

I ran background checks on everyone involved in this Tar Pit mess, came up empty. I mean, they all have records, but they're sealed, so I can't read them.

Cisco Ramon:

Joe West:
How many felonies are we committing breaking into sealed court records?

Cisco Ramon:
Eh, three or four. Nope, five.

[Wells has just admitted to stealing Barry's speed; after throwing a punch, Joe throws him into a cell in the Pipeline]

Joe West:
Because if I didn't, I would've killed him.

Barry Allen:
You know, it's ironic. I was just saying how much you remind me of the old Wells, and now here we are, just like I did with him, standing on either side of this glass with me asking you why.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I'm doing what I have to do to save my daughter.

Barry Allen:
Yeah, at any cost, right? The cost of Joe's daughter.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I told you I would betray you. I told you I would have to choose.

Joe West:
You chose wrong.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Really, did I? Because I just sacrificed my daughter. Because I just sentenced my daughter to death to save your son.

Joe West:
You want a pat on the back?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
I want you to send me home. Send me back to Earth-2. Think about it. Zoom wants you to get faster. He wants you to have more speed force in you for when he finally takes it. Send me back, use the implosion reactor to shut down the breach. Shut down all the breaches. Close them all and Zoom will never be able to cross over ever again, and that'll be the end of it.

Barry Allen:
What about your daughter?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Jesse's my battle to fight, not yours.

Barry Allen:
My day job beckons.

Barry Allen:

Joe West:

Caitlin Snow:
[to Barry] We're gonna need to fashion you a new diet based on your metabolic changes.

Cisco Ramon:
I've done a few calculations. You need to consume an amount equal to roughly 850 tacos. Unless, we're talking cheese and guac, which is like a whole other set of equations.

Joe West:

[Danton makes replicates of himself]

Barry Allen:
I saw Black create duplicates from his own body.

Cisco Ramon:
That's pretty ironic. The guy specialized in cloning and now he can make xeroxes of himself.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
If he was experimenting on himself when he was exposed to the dark matter wave released by the particle accelerator explosion...

Cisco Ramon:
Meet Captain Clone. Don't worry. I'll come up with something better.

Joe West:
[shoots a clone of Danton Black] Any more of them?

Caitlin Snow:
Nope.

Barry Allen:
Why did it start moving?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
The prime. My guess, the prime is on the move. This one heard the summons to battle.

Joe West:
And I know where he was summoned to. Stagg Industries.

Barry Allen:
You should call it in.

Joe West:
Police can't fight this. What Black's become, like Mardon... beyond me. Maybe way beyond them, too. The only person it's not beyond is you. You gotta do this. I get it. So for once in your life, do what I tell you what to do. Go stop him.

Cisco Ramon:
Well, at least Multiplex won't be able to hurt anyone else. Told you I'd come up with a cool name.

Barry Allen:
Yeah, I might be in the suit doing all the running... but when I'm out there helping people, making a difference... you're all out there with me. Finally realized something, we were all struck by that lightning.

Joe West:
You were wrong.

Barry Allen:
I have been wrong a lot this week. You're gonna have to be more specific.

Barry Allen:
Joe, what I said to you about not being my father...

Joe West:
Barry, I know. I know I'm not your father.

Barry Allen:
You're right, you're not. You're just the man who kept me fed and in clothes, who sat by my bed every night until I fell asleep because I was afraid of the dark, helped me with my homework. You taught me how to drive, and shave... and you dropped me off to college. Sounds a lot like a dad to me.

Barry Allen:
[voice over] Every kid dreams about being a superhero. Having powers, saving people. But no kid thinks about what it's like to be a hero and not saving people. Truth is, not much else changes. You still hurt, you still love, you still wish and hope and fear things, and you still need people to help you with all of it. In some ways, that's the best part.

Could you imagine if you could control his power, if you could... if you could harness it, you could change what it means to be human. The man in the red mask is the key, and I'm gonna get him.

Harrison Wells:
[takes off his glasses] The man in the red mask. He's called the Flash... or at least he will be one day. [stands up from his wheelchair]

Simon Stagg:
[shocked] What the hell...? [Wells stabs Stagg in the stomach with a knife]

Harrison Wells:
Forgive me, Simon. I worry that you will think this is personal, and it's not. It's just that the man in the red mask, the fastest man alive... he must be kept... [draws his knife out of Stagg's stomach, and he falls over dead]... safe.

Joe West:
You think cause you can run real fast, you're invincible, you're not.

Patty Spivot:
Flash?

The Flash, Jay Garrick:

Jay Garrick:
Where I came from, I was a speedster like you. They called me The Flash.

Jay Garrick:
They belong to a metahuman I fought before named Sand Demon.

Cisco Ramon:
I know you're new here, so I'm just gonna break it down for you. The whole naming the bad guys thing? That's my jam. But you know what? I'm gonna let you have that one, because I actually kinda like it. I'm not mad at that one.

Barry Allen:

Patty Spivot:

Patty Spivot:

Something's happening to me. I'm starting to perceive things. Horrible things. It started after Wells killed me in the other timeline. It came back when Atom-Smasher attacked on Flash Day and then again when Sand Demon showed up. I get a vibe, and then a vision of something that's already happened, and then it's gone.

Jay Garrick:
So, I hear they call you the Scarlet Speedster.

Barry Allen:
Yeah, what about you?

Jay Garrick:
Crimson Comet. What is it about alliteration and nicknames?

Detective Joe West:
Do you really think you have what it takes to be part of my task force?

Patty Spivot:
I know it, sir.

Detective Joe West:
Well, I always check the jacket of anyone I'm considering for it. In my research on you, I found out we got a mutual acquaintance. Mark Mardon. I need you to be honest with me here. Why do you want to do this?

Patty Spivot:
Mark Mardon killed my dad. He had a little shoe shop down on Chesterfield. It was a cash business; one night, he went to Fairfield Bank to make his weekly deposit, and the Mardon brothers showed up. While he was waiting in line, Mark shot my dad, in the face, for a few hundred dollars. Then, a few months later, Mark and his brother got powers. Two murderers got superpowers. So that's why I'm here, sir. That's why I'm so hell-bent on being on your task force. 'Cause there's some bad people out there, and they can do... anything. And I may not have powers, but I want to stop them. You're the only person I know who wants to do that, too.

Jay Garrick:
On my world, I've been The Flash for about two years.

Caitlin Snow:
And how did you get your speed?

Jay Garrick:
Not really sure. I was at my lab trying to purify heavy water without any residual radiation when there was a blinding light. I fell into a coma. When I woke up, I could run almost as fast as the speed of light.

Caitlin Snow:
Sorry. Did you say lab? Are you a scientist?

Jay Garrick:
Well, I certainly didn't work at a place like this, but, yeah. I had a respectable solo operation. Part-time chemist, part-time physicist. Part-time superhero.

Caitlin Snow:
Hmm.

Jay Garrick:
I can forget that superhero part now, though, huh?

Dr. Martin Stein:
This is our earth. Let's call it Earth-1. And this second earth, let's call it Earth-2. This is where Jay claims to be from. And these other earth, three, four, five, to infinity, all of them, are nearly identical to ours. And they all exist at the same time, giving us endless alternatives to what we have here. For example, the Joe West on Earth-2, your doppelganger, he might not be a detective. He could be a Nobel Prize-winning physicist. And you, the Barry Allen here is The Flash, but over there, he could be an electrician.

Detective Joe West:
So, I'm assuming that the people on all these other earths work to make money to pay bills and such.

Barry Allen:
You got your suit?

Jay Garrick:
Sure. Well, except my helmet.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Helmet?

Cisco Ramon:
Silver-kettle helmet? Gold wings?

Jay Garrick:
Don't tell me you guys found it.

The Flash:

Barry Allen:
He's a hero, Joe.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
You're a hero, Barry. You offer protection, hope, light. What that man does is carry out a dark reckoning for his city. It is a brutal, violent vision of justice, one we do not share. You truly think he's a hero, fine, so be it. But he's not the kind you should be looking up to.

John Diggle:
Tell me, do you think he can do everything really fast? I mean like, how fast do you think he goes to the bathroom after he's eaten something?

Oliver Queen:

Iris West:

I heard you heal fast.

[Oliver pulls the arrows out of Barry's back]

John Diggle:
Do you have any idea how many people Oliver has killed with that bow and arrow?

Cisco Ramon:
Recurve bow arrows can travel up to 300 miles per second, so, like, 200 miles an hour. Barry can run three times that fast.

John Diggle:
Whatever. Oliver's been doing this a lot longer. My money's on experience.

Cisco Ramon:

Felicity Smoak:

Look, I actually don't disagree with you at the moment, but we wouldn't have Bivolo's name if it weren't for the Arrow. So maybe instead of judging him, you should just be thanking him.

Oliver Queen:
Barry, I have been living this life for almost eight years, encountering things that you can't even fathom, and I am still alive. Not because super-speed kept me out of the ground. Absolutely. So you can train, lift weights, climb that stupid barn until your heart explodes, but you'll never be as fast as I am. You'll never be what I am. And that's got to hurt your rock-hard pride, Ollie.

Joe West:
[about Barry] He was acting angry. It was scary. And his eyes... they glowed.

Caitlin Snow:
It's possible his body is fighting off the effect. So it's hitting him slower.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
When it comes to rage, that is not a good thing. The longer you suppress your emotions...

Joe West:
Considering what he can do, how do we even stop him?

Cisco Ramon:
A cold-gun would come in real handy right about now.

Joe West:

None of us can stop Barry. Fortunately, Felicity knows someone who can. I think you better call back Oliver Queen. We're gonna need the Arrow's help.

Arrow:
[fires a rope around the Flash] You need to calm down.

[drags the Arrow across the street as he runs off]

Oliver Queen:
My identity is a closely-guarded secret only known to a few, and if it were to get out, will endanger my family, my friends, and it would embolden my enemies to retaliate at me through them.

Felicity Smoak:
What Oliver is trying to say is that he had a lovely time working with you and getting to know each of you, and he can't wait to do it again soon.

Oliver Queen:
Right.

Cisco Ramon:
You know, it didn't sound like that's what he was saying.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Mr. Queen, I met your father once. Charity event. One of the things we spoke of was you. I think he would be very proud of the man you've become.

Oliver Queen:

Caitlin Snow:

Henry Allen:
At my trial for your mother's death, a lot of our family and friends were in the courtroom. They heard awful things about what I had done to your mother. It didn't matter that it wasn't true. Every day, I could see it on their faces, the moment when I lost them, until everybody had stopped believing in me. Well, that was my reality. You know, I was gonna serve a life sentence for a crime I didn't commit, but worse than that, every time I looked at someone in the eye from that moment forward, they were gonna believe that I had killed the woman I loved in front of our son. So yeah, I do know what it's like being... destroyed.

Barry Allen:
How did you get past that?

Henry Allen:
I embraced it. Accepting it was the only way that I could move forward, but I knew that if I could survive that, and learn to believe in myself again, then I could survive anything. You know what lit that belief in me, Barry? You. Eleven year old you, running around, believing in me, gave me that hope. And now I'm giving it back to you, son. No more monsters can take that from us.

Joe West:

Iris West:

Okay. You want to do this now? Out here? Fine. Mardon is dead. There is no controlling the weather, Barry. Just like there was no lightning storm in your house that night. It was your brain helping a scared little boy accept what he saw.

And I could feel the fear rise in the back of my throat and something else rising also, some dark instinct inside me about what I would do to the person who had taken you the things I would do... unspeakable things. And it was in that moment that I realised, for certain, that I would do anything to get you back.

Imagine how good it would feel to cure diseases, stop aging, reverse paralysis.

Barry Allen:
All good causes. So how can I help you do that? You need more MRI's, more blood, or...

Dr. Harrison Wells:

I didn't have my speed for very long, but now that it's gone, it feels like part of me is gone, too.

Cisco Ramon:
I think you mean the Reverse-Flash. What? He said it, not me. And he's right. Yellow suit, red lighting, and evil - the reverse of Barry.

Caitlin Snow:

Dr. Harrison Wells:

Leonard Snart:

Mick Rory:

Leonard Snart:

I didn't say that, But, Barry, as fast as you are, you cannot be everywhere at once. And then it becomes a question of priorities. Now, in the last month, you have made a commitment to increasing your speed, enhancing your reflexes, and it's working. You're finally getting faster.

Barry Allen:
Okay, but what am I supposed to do, just ignore Snart?

Dr. Harrison Wells:
The last time you had a fight with Snart, a train derailed. You were lucky to get all those people to safety. And if you don't give him that fight...

Barry Allen:
He may just back off. And there'll be no casualties.

Dr. Harrison Wells:
Look, Barry, Cisco and I will work with Joe and the police and devise a way to catch Cold. Yes, I said it, Cisco. As soon as it came out my mouth, I heard it.

Cisco Ramon:
Yeah, we can definitely come up with ways to neutralize Snart.

Listen, Barry. Whether or not you go after Snart, that's your choice. We here, we do whatever we can to support you. But, after this past Christmas, after the events with the Reverse-Flash... I just think he poses a greater threat to all of us.

James Jesse:

I have to admit this is new territory for me.
