Lieutenant Rozanov:
[thick Russian accent] Very clever little boy. Very, very clever, to see that my friend and I are foreigners here, but of course not Russian, naturally. What would the Russians be doing on United States of America island, with so many animosities and hatreds between these two countries? It is too funny an idea, is it not? Walt Whittaker:

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[nods] On a small training exercise for the Nyaato countries...

Alexei Kolchin:

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Alice Foss, Telephone Operator:
Well, I'm sorry to bother you, Chief Mattocks, but I just had a call from Muriel Everett.

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
What is it, what's she want?

Alice Foss, Telephone Operator:
She was shouting that I should call you, because according to her - well, Muriel said the Russians have landed!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
Want to give me that again, Alice?

Alice Foss, Telephone Operator:
Muriel said the Russians have landed, whatever that means, Chief. And she said they were attacking her personally!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
Remember last time, when she called about that Peeping Tom - you know who that was, don't you? It was that Luther Grilk's horse.

Walt Whittaker:

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Lieutenant Rozanov:
I'm wounded in dignity only. Please, I know everybody on this island is complete and total crazy. But you, Whittaker Walt? You are crazy too? I only came back here to get Kolchin.

Walt Whittaker:
[stammering] It's just that when I saw you and the gun, well, I thought something had happened to Annie, our daughter. I'm sorry, I... I wasn't trying to... Well, I... I was trying to kill you, I'll admit that, but it wasn't... I mean, it wasn't anything personal.

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Russian sailors:
Emergency! Everybody to get from street!

Officer Norman Jones:
We have... GOT... to get organized!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
I thought all the nuts went home on Labor Day.

Bartender:
All right! All right! But only on one condition! Everybody pays cash!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
Tell the Captain he's under arrest.

Lieutenant Rozanov:

Police Chief Link Mattocks:

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian; subtitled] The policeman says you are under arrest.

The Russian Captain:
[laughs loudly; in Russian, subtitled] Tell him that I'm going to blow this town to pieces!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
[to Rozanov] What did he say?

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in English] Well, he's angry, yes. He says, "you stupid idiot," he will blow up the town.

Russian sailor:
[pointing upward] Maltchik, maltchik...

Officer Norman Jones:
Huh? Oh, yeah... we got the kid, didn't we?

Walt Whittaker:
[to Alison] Did your brother Fred come with you? Hi, Fred come in! I've got him now... [jumps on Kolchin's back]

Muriel Everett:
It's those those high school kids...

[she sees the Russians and then runs into her house]

Muriel Everett:
Russians! Russians!

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian; subtitled] Gromolsky, go shut her up... but gently!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
[to the Russian sub captain after telling him that he's under arrest] All right, let's have your name and address.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[translating in Russian] He wants our address.

The Russian Captain:
[to the Russian sailors; in Russian] Point your gun... take aim right between their eyes!

Lieutenant Rozanov:
It is necessary for you to remain in this house at most vigorously for short time only.

Walt Whittaker:
Well, we're not going anywhere but...

Lieutenant Rozanov:
Good! Please to remain absolutely good behaved so that this man, marksman of prize winning caliber, will not have the necessity of shooting you to small pieces!

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian to Kolchin] Watch them.

[points to Peter]

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] And especially watch that little bastard too.

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian; subtitled] Comrade, won't you come aboard? Where is everybody?

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] Comrade Captain, didn't Lysenko reach you?

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Lysenko? No. Why do you think I'm here, huh?

Lieutenant Rozanov:
Tovarishch Kapitan...

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Comrade Lieutenant Rozanov, immediately deliver all the shore party aboard.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] They're not here!

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Rozanov, the Americans are lying to you. Don't belive them. They are holding my sailors prisoners.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
Tovarishch Kapitan...

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Comrade Lieutenant Rozanov, I'm giving an order to deliver all my men aboard. Otherwise, I will straighten out this island in such a manner that nobody will be able to find it! I will explode it, do you here me? I will obliterate it from the face of the Earth! I'm giving you three minutes!

[after their submarine runs aground]

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian; subtitled] Devil take it! What a mess! What a mess.

[the Russians are driving along the road when they see Alison on the road on her bicycle]

Hrushevsky:
[in Russian; subtitled] Hey, look at that. An American woman. Did you see the build on that...

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] Shut up Hurshevsky, and just drive the car!

[Pete accuses his father of collabotaring with the enemy]

Pete Whittaker:
You told them everything they wanted to know, just like Arnold Benedict!

Walt Whittaker:
That's Benedict Arnold, not Arnold... What are you saying, Pete? Are you saying you think your father is a TRAITOR?

Pete Whittaker:
Yes I am! I bet I'm the only kid in the fourth grade whose father IS a famous trader.

Walt Whittaker:

[after the Russians in the boat eluded capture]

Fendall Hawkins:
I'm holding you responsible! [draws sword] As Commander of the Civilian Forces, in this emergency! I'm charging you with treason!

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
Gimme that thing! [grabs his sword and breaks it in half]

Fendall Hawkins:
[half tearful-half enraged] That's a Dexter F. Mettles Memorial Sword.

Police Chief Link Mattocks:
Yeah.

Fendall Hawkins:
[enraged] You traitorous fink! [goes for Mattocks, resulting in a brawl]

[Rozanov arrives on the bridge of the Russian submarine after learing from the chart man how close they are to the USA coast]

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian; subtitled] What is it Captain? What are you doing? [to a chart man] Show me our position.

[the chart man shows Rozanov how close they are to an island]

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] What? WHAT? Tovarich Captain...

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Take it easy.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] Permit me, Captain. Look at our position.

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] I don't need your advice.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] But this is dangerous! The chart is old! We do not know these waters.

Russian sailor:
[in Russian] Comrade Captain, our depth is at 28 fathoms.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
Tovarich Captain...

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Rozanov, shut up! You are a fool!

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] What? But we're at twenty-eight!

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Leave the tower or I'll place you under arrest!

Russian sailor:
[in Russian] 23 fathoms.

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian] Don't you hear it?

The Russian Captain:
[in Russain] Rozanov, I gave you an order!

[after a pause as the beeping of the sonar grows more intense]

Russian sailor:
[in Russian] Sixteen fathoms!

Lieutenant Rozanov:
[in Russian to the sailors] Surface! Stop engines!

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] How dare you!

Russian sailor:
[in Russian] Twelve fathoms!

The Russian Captain:
[in Russian] Down periscope! Full speed astern!

Russian sailor:
[in Russian; looking as the sonar] Eight... seven... six... five... [the submarine shutters violently as it runs aground]

Brodsky:
[in Russian; subtitled] Hey, look here. Wheat! American wheat!

Hrushevsky:
[picks up a handfull and sniffs it; in Russian] That's not wheat you idiot! It's fertilizer.

Brodsky:
[in Russian; subtitled] Fertilizer? You mean manure? Cow...

Hrushevsky:
