Adyashanti:
Welcome to satsang. Well, since most talks, most spiritual talks, have something to do with - at least most spiritual talks that I do - have something to do with awakening or how to wake up or how to realize your true nature, I thought today we'd try something totally different. No "how" today. I think what's often missing is what it is actually - what it actually is to be awake.

Adyashanti:
Your personal relationship with the Divine will be toast because God as an object out there just won't make sense anymore.

Adyashanti:
The best piece of advice is: don't resist. But you know what? You will.

Adyashanti:
Don't resist your resistance.

Adyashanti:
We reserve our greatest acts of stupidity after we've glimpsed the truth. They don't tell you that in the books either, 'cause that's not a good selling point.

Adyashanti:
You'll find as much God in your backyard as you will in a monastery. And frequently a lot more.

Adyashanti:
You no longer have an argument with yourself, you no longer have an argument with others, you no longer have an argument with life and you no longer have an argument with God. When you no longer have these four arguments, you are self-realized. And the only way to give up all these arguments is to see you are yourself, you are your neighbor, you are life and you are God. And therefore it's totally ridiculous to have an argument with yourself.

Mother:
I love the dictionary. I just- I don't know why; I just really love words. And I- lately it just feels like it's a pack of lies.

Adyashanti:
Religion in its true sense should be just medicine, something that might help to restore you to sanity. But it's not sanity itself. In fact, if we start to take our religion seriously then religion becomes one of the more insane things on the face of the planet.
