I learned from the people what happened. One of her majesty's barons came at night and struck Father Joseph with his sword. A giant of a man, they told me. Then his men destroyed the chapel. The people fled into the forest.

Prince Wenceslas:
This giant, did he speak?

Brother Paul:
Forgive me, sire.

Prince Wenceslas:
You can tell me.

Brother Paul:
He spoke only once and briefly. As he raised his sword he shouted, 'This is done in the name of Wenceslas.'
