And so he became a poet of peace. In great measure. And I think that's how we must remember him, of love and peace and of fury as well because threre's a great deal of anger in Neruda because of the waste, the way we have wasted our planet. The way we have devastated the lives of so many people. And that hurt him enormously. And yet, he was always full of the most extraordinary optimism.
