Shunsui Kyoraku:
What is it that makes you so unreasonable? What's your purpose? Why did you come here in the first place?

Yasutora 'Chad' Sado:
[breathing heavily] I've come... to save the life... of Rukia Kuchiki.

Shunsui Kyoraku:
[looks slightly stunned] Oh, come on. [beat] Hm. You mean Rukia the Soul Reaper who went missing in the world of the living a few months ago? That's not enough time for a true friendship. A relationship like that can't be worth risking your life over.

Yasutora 'Chad' Sado:
I can't deny... I don't know very much about Rukia. [pause] That's not the point. *I* might not risk my life for her but... Ichigo wants to save her life. And that's all I need to know. [beat] What may seem like an unworthy cause to you is more than enough reason for me.

Shunsui Kyoraku:
[pause] Well, I tried; but if you're *that* determined, it would be *insulting* for me to ask you to back down. [pause] I guess it can't be avoided. [draws both of his 'swords', putting 'Chad' immediately on guard] Unfortunately, it means now I'm going to have to take your life.

[with that, 'Chad' starts running full out towards Captain Kyoraku, armored fist flaring w/ blue-white energy; slowing down just enough as he reaches the Captain, he puts his full force into his 'punch'; the energy blast from his fist destroys the building behind Kyoraku; as 'Chad' stands straight he gasps in surprise as he feels Kyoraku, who completely dodged Chad's attack, slice him across the chest so fast he couldn't even see him; Kyoraku lands behind Chad, looking back w/ something akin to regret in his eyes]

Shunsui Kyoraku:
[softly] I'm sorry.
