Ian Murray:
[Shaken after having just killed Horrocks to save Jamie] I thought I killed my last man in the war.

Jamie Fraser:
I'm grateful. For if you hadn't done it, I'd have done it myself.

Ian Murray:
The man was an absconder, a traitor and a thief! He wasn't worthy of the The Watch. Nor even a redcoat.

Jamie Fraser:
Let's bury the bastard. Which is more than he deserves. [Ian tries to return his bloodied sword to its scabbard. But, his hands are shaking so badly that he can't. Jamie sees what he's doing] Wipe the blood off first. Ian! [Jamie realizes the trouble Ian is having and tries to calm and reassure his friend who is like a brother] Remember we used to argue which was the bigger sin. Fornication or killing. [He reaches for Ian's sword who hands it to him] We worried whether we would go to hell.

Ian Murray:
[sighs deeply and smiles at his friend] Well, if you're going to hell... I might as well go, too. God knows you'll never manage alone.
