Narrator:
On September 7, 1978, Georgi Markov, a Bulgarian ex-patriot living in London was traveling to work. Following his usual routine, he parked his car and crossed Waterloo Bridge to wait for a bus. He had no idea that on this day, he was being watched. As Markov waited at the bus stop, he felt something sting his leg. He turned to see a man picking up an umbrella and running away. What seemed like a curious accident, soon turned into an extraordinary mystery because three days later, Markov was dead.
