In Earth year 2230, I was a musician, and my work was very important to me because in my century musicians do nearly all the healing.

Varian:
We use music to relieve pain, to restore harmony and balance to the mind, to the emotions.

Varian:
In 2230 man on Earth has unlimited resources because he's tapped the greatest resource of all, which is his mind.

Varian:
Our machines are efficient, and silent.

Varian:
And our cities are built miles high so that the land outside is free to grow and sustain wildlife.

Varian:
The five races have melded into one.

Varian:
There's no more war, and no more countries;

Varian:
it's just Earth.

Varian:
We're productive, non-aggressive people.

Varian:
We waste nothing: time, imagination, energy, effort.

Varian:
Because we believe that these things are the very essence of life.
