[in a flashback, Rick talks to Jessie about Ron, that he wants to teach her and her kids on how to protect themselves]

Rick Grimes:
Ron needed to hear every word I said. That's why I grabbed him. I wasn't angry. I was just telling him the truth.

Jessie Anderson:
If it's coming from you, he can't hear it. You got to understand that.

Rick Grimes:
[Rick grabs a pistol from the armory shelf] He needs to know how to handle himself. I can teach him. I can teach you.

Jessie Anderson:
Rick.

Rick Grimes:
You need to know how.

Jessie Anderson:
[Jessie shows Rick that she's already carrying a gun and learning to shoot] Rick. When I found out we could have them, I asked Rosita to start showing me how. Okay? She's gonna teach me and I'm gonna teach Ron, and I'm gonna teach Sam. I heard what you were saying to us at the meeting. And at my house before, you know. I am gonna fight, Rick.

[Rick nods his head and sets the pistol back down]
