Nancy Krieger Weston:
[turning on a light] Hey, Deb.

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
[abruptly; groaning] I'm up. I'm up.

Nancy Krieger Weston:
[going over to sit with her sister on the couch] Hey, later. Maybe we could meet somewhere. Maybe Sue could join us, you know, just the three of us?

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
Some place with room service and a hot tub.

Eleanor Krieger:
[entering from the kitchen] Who wants breakfast?

Nancy Krieger Weston:
No, thanks. I promised the kids I'd make 'em waffles.

Eleanor Krieger:
Deb? I'm making eggs.

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
[grimacing] Oh, I couldn't possibly face eggs this morning.

Eleanor Krieger:
You should eat something.

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
[turning back to her, incredulous] Why? 'Looks like you've gained weight, Deborah', that's the first thing you said to me when I got here.

Eleanor Krieger:
I didn't mean anything.

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
Well. You hadn't seen me in two years, the first thing you did was criticize.

Nancy Krieger Weston:
She wasn't criticizing. You have gained weight, big deal? What do you want from her anyway?

Nancy's Sister Deborah:
[pouty, thinking about it] I don't know. Ma? What do I want from you anyway?

Eleanor Krieger:
Beats me. Always has.
