The Driver:
As sure as night is night, failing to check his brights isn't his only offense. He's also the guy who turns without signaling, burns rubber through school zones, drives without a safety belt, ignores warning lights and maintenance recommendations, comes to a rolling stop at stop signs, pulls out to pass without checking for oncoming traffic, races through amber lights, doesn't abide by the accepted rules of a four-way stop. But I am calm. I am calm because he doesn't know I'm calm, because he doesn't know I'm here. He doesn't realize the night is filled with silent, secret Angels.
