Look, I just don't think you should go to the party tonight, Pace. I mean, even if you and Joey are supposed to be together, you both need to take some time apart to figure out what went wrong. Otherwise you're gonna wind up making the same mistakes all over again. Trust me. I know from whence I speak.

Pacey:
Trust you? Miss pack-up-and-leave-town? Forgive me if you're not exactly my relationship role model right now.

Gretchen:
I'm just trying to help, Pace. I don't want to see you getting hurt.

Pacey:
Well, it's too late for that. I'm already hurt. And that's exactly the situation I'm trying to rectify. That's why I gotta go to this party, just to see what the gods have in store for me.
