[Gwen and Merlin talk before she returns to her time]

Gwen:
When I go back, will I remember what happened?

Merlin:
Yes. The older the soul, the greater the ability to comprehend the multiplicity of reality. What are you doing?

Gwen:
Just checking out the multiplicity of reality. Morgana. Is she dead?

Merlin:
She is still alive here in my time, and still a threat. But mortal once again, thanks to you. Of course, had you not disobeyed me and come after the crystal, the future wouldn't have been altered in the first place.

Gwen:
Oh excuse me, I came back to your time to save you from Morgana.

Merlin:
Thank you very kindly. I was quite capable of managing Morgana myself.

Gwen:
You were a block of ice.

Merlin:
A block...(laughs) of... ice?

Gwen:
(laughs)

Merlin:
Well, it's time for you to go back, where you are most needed.

Gwen:
Merlin, you have the crystal. Why not just use it and become immortal and fight evil yourself?

Merlin:
Gwen, you had the crystal. Why didn't you use it for yourself?

Gwen:
Because, it would have been wrong.

Merlin:
Verily. The cycle of death and rebirth is Nature's way. And only the very foolish or very arrogant would tamper with it, at the world's peril.

Gwen:
Will I still see you?

Merlin:
I will always be here for you. For as long as my time here on Earth allows.
